A Customs officer allegedly shot and injured a trailer driver in Onne Seaport, Rivers state, yesterday. According to an eyewitness, the officer shot and injured the driver for no reason. In protest, the trailer drivers union shut down the port and used trailers to block the customs exit gate. They also reportedly destroyed offices, cars. Other Customs officers present at work, removed their uniform and ran away to avoid being assaulted.

A woman left in a phone box as a baby has reunited with the Nigerian man who found her 22 years ago, Metro UK reports.
Kiran Sheikh was two hours old when she was abandoned at a call box in Forest Gate, east London on April 30, 1994. The mother, who was trapped in a violent relationship, gave birth on the floor in her bathroom, dumped the child then called Samaritans, urging them to come quickly for the baby.

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested three people, including 18-year-old girl, identified as Ezinne for allegedly selling her 16-month-old child at the sum of N300,000.

Ezinne hails from Isu Mbaneze in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi state claims that a friend convinced her to sell her daughter, Chisom Rapheal, whom she had out of wedlock. According to a statement issued today, July 27 by the Command:

A female teacher, Mary Beth Haglin, accused of sleeping with a pupil has blamed her former school's administrators for her alleged relationship, claiming the school administrators "turned a blind eye."

Mary Beth, a substitute teacher claimed authorities "allowed this to happen" after she was arrested for her relationship with a 17-year-old male student at Washington High in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

These shocking images taken by a surf photographer in Perth, Australia, shows a four-metre long shark cutting through the water as a group of terrified surfers desperately try to paddle to safety after they realized what they were sharing the surf with.

Rick Knoppert, the photographer who captured the incredible pictures at popular surfing spot Mettams pool, said that he was there to snap big waves and never thought he would capture such a close-call on camera.

A priest was found dead with his throat slit after two men armed with knives took hostages at a church in Rouen, France this morning July 26th. The men had arrived the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray and held the priest, two nuns and other church members hostage during their early morning mass. The police arrived the scene and shot dead the two armed men. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The French police is investigating the incident as it unfolds.

A 28 year-old housewife, Mary Attah has been condemned to death by hanging by an Effurun High Court for stabbing her Pastor husband, Darlington Attah, with a kitchen knife and setting him ablaze.

Prosecution from the Delta State Ministry of Justice had told the Court that the accused who was married to Darlington Attah (now deceased) with four children, on or about the 6th day of July, 2012 at Effurun within the Effurun Judicial Division did attack her husband with a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the neck as a result of an alleged phone call from the husband’s lover.

A notorious rapist and paedophile identified as Badoo was apprehended in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state and burnt to death by an angry mob.

Baddo was reportedly caught on Saturday, July 23, after allegedly raping an 8-year-old girl at Ota, Oode Ibeshe, Ikorodu during a celestial church vigil. The dreaded criminal who had been a menace to the community was caught while hiding inside a primary school. He was then stripped naked, beaten mercilessly and set ablaze. A man who had been declared missing for 25 years and later declared dead in Indiana has been discovered living with a new family in Pasco County, Florida.
Terry Jude Symansky appeared to lead an ordinary life in Florida. He had a wife and a teenage son, owned property, and “worked odd jobs,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The only problem, police say, was that Terry Jude Symansky was not really Terry Jude Symansky. He was actually Richard Hoagland who vanished 25 years ago.

A 14-year-old pregnant girl was burnt to death by her in-laws in a remote area of central Ghor province, central Afghanistan. This is the latest reported case of violence against women in the country.
"She was a victim of family violence," said General Mustafa Andarabi, the Police Chief of Ghor province. Zahra's husband was involved in the incident, he added.  He fled the house. However, we have Zahra's father in-law and mother in-law in custody," Andarabi said.

A six foot python was overpowered by a brave man at the old Aplaku Muslim cemetery near Bortianor, Ghana. According to the man identified as Alhaji, they had come there on Sunday morning, July 17 to weed and clear out the Muslim cemetery when he detected movement at the far end leading to one of the walls. He rushed there and found the huge python stretched out and ready to engage him in a fight.

A 21-year-old Indian student is currently recovering in the hospital after being gang-raped by a group of men including some charged with sexually assaulting her 3 years earlier, an officer said Monday.
The five men abducted the student of the lowest Dalit social caste from outside her college before drugging and raping her in a car. She was found unconscious in bushes on the side of a highway last Wednesday night in Haryana which borders New Delhi.

The man who shot three police officers dead and injured three others in Baton Rouge has been named as Gavin Eugene Long from Kansas City. He shot 6 people on his 29th birthday.

Two suspected kidnappers were burnt beyond recognition at Bristow roundabout in Gboko area of Benue state yesterday July 17th. The men were reportedly on the verge of kidnapping a woman when they were apprehended and the jungle justice was meted on them by a mob. A driver and many of his passengers were burnt beyond recognition in a fatal accident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway yesterday. Eyewitnesses say the bus driver was picking passengers on the expressway and upon sighting members of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers Task Force, he sped off and ran into a ditch. The bus somersaulted and burst into flames. The bus driver and most of the passengers died in the ensuing fire. Two passengers escaped with major burns and were taken to the hospital for medical care.

According to the Lagos state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, Chinonso, who hails from Ebonyi state, goes to different secondary schools in the Surulere area in Lagos state within school hours to lure female students between 12 to 15 years of age to a hotel.

Three men were brutally murdered a day ago, over land related matters at Isiwo road, Igbodu, Epe. According to the person who shared these photos, suspected assassins brutally killed his brother Deacon Hassan, along with his personal assistant and driver.
