An Indonesian man whose body is covered by hundreds of tumours has made a final plea for help as the rare condition robs him of his sight.

Slamet, from East Java, is believed to be suffering from neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition which causes uncontrollable growths along the nerves. According to his brother Suwadi, the 59-year-old had a tumour removed from his waist in 1991. But six months later tumours began to form all over his face and body.

Years later the condition has become intolerable and Slamet suffers constant pain throughout his body. Recently the tumours have started blocking his nostrils, making it difficult for him to breath...see more photos..

Part-time student of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Timilehin Ayobami Ogundare tried to kill himself on Sat January 4th by jumping into River Ogun but was stopped and saved by some security guards who handed him over to men of the vigilante service. Timi was later released. The next day, he succeeded in killing himself by hanging himself in his room with his belt.

In Accra, she was able to invite lots of dignitaries, including; Hon Collins Dauda – Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing. Hon Dauda showed a very noble interest in the movie and sent a congratulatory message to Jim Ike and Nadia Buari for their wonderful performance in the movie, a day after the premier.
In a separate chat with the Hon Minister, he revealed that, he was invited to the premiere by Nadia Buari and Jim Ike. After examining the theme of the movie which talks about the effects of ‘hard’ drugs usage, he gave them his words to attend the premier.

SaharaReporters has learned from a police source in Kaduna town of the killing by suspected Boko Haram sect fighters of about four policemen in the Tudun Wada area.

The suspected sect members are said to have monitored the policemen from the premises of a nearby GT Bank on Kaduna Western Bypass to a street in Tudun Wada area where they attacked their vehicle and shot them to death.

The suspects, after ensuring that the men were dead, stole their guns and other items and fled into thin air.  It is the first attack against the security agencies in Kaduna State in 2014.

Kaduna State police spokesman DSP Aminu Lawan could not be reached for comment, but a source in the community who asked for anonymity said the gunmen had sophisticated arms in their possession.

“We were inside and heard the sound of their firing, it was terrible and terrifying,” he told SaharaReporters.   “But I can also add that they are not from our area, because they just trailed [the policemen] and we don’t have such elements in our community.”

In a rare show of power she constitutionally doesn't have, Nigeria's First Lady Patience Jonathan has reportedly ordered the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, to release the armed thugs of her close political allies, Senator George Sekibo and Evans Bipi.

The six men were arrested on Friday by the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in Ogu, the hometown of the two politicians, and they were handed over to the police for prosecution.

But SaharaReporters has authoritatively learned that Mrs. Jonathan ordered Mr. Mbu to release the suspects as well as return to them the arms and ammunition that were found in their possession.  It is as yet unclear if Mbu has complied with the order, but Mr. Bipi, a former domestic aide of Mrs. Jonathan, is understood to be actively trying to ensure the release.

A High Court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State was bombed this morning Monday January 6th, according to reports from the state.

The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. No casualties have been reported over the bombing as at the time of filing this report.

Kourtney Kardashian's longtime partner Scott Disick has lost his dad just two months after losing his mum, Bonnie Disick, who passed away suddenly in early November 2013 at age 63.

His dad, Jeffrey Disick, a real estate developer, died on Friday January 3rd according to a report by E! News. Scott is said to be so devastated and beside himself with grief.

Imagine losing both parents within two months, especially when you're an only child like Scott is.

During an interview with Inspiration FM’s Gloria Maduka post surgery, veteran music producer OJB Jezreel addressed controversy surrounding his donations, said celebs used it as competition and calls out Dbanj. Here’s why he’s unhappy with D’banj. During his fund raiser many months back, there were rumours that D’banj gave his former music producer N7m, a report that D’banj didn’t deny. OJB says D’banj didn’t give him a dime and was upset that he didn’t try to set the record straight

“The most disappointing one for me is D’banj because he passed through my hands, he was trained under my tutelage. That is offensive. I don’t care if you’re with Kanye West, you can’t forget your root. I won’t call anybody else’s name but I will call his because it hurts. His own hurts very deep. And he never tried to reach out to me. It’s not like we parted on fighting terms. He told me he had to go to London and he went. And when he came back it was Don Jazzy, and I said OK, that’s fine. And what he did worked and I’m very proud of him, the love, that’s why it hurts more. He should have come out to say no, I don’t know why you people are saying all this, I didn’t give OJB N7million, maybe a part of him felt embarrassed because at the end of the day, really, are you not supposed to do something?” OJB says during the interview

 “When P-Square gave me N5million cheque, everybody started treating as a competition. They were like, they brought N5m, I want to show that I can do more, or equal it. So they will come to my house, some will drop N2m, N1m, you say thank you, they take pictures and go away. Then you drop the cheque in your account and you see that almost N4/5million is being returned back to you that it didn’t clear. You call them and tell them and they tell you they are coming but they haven’t picked the cheques till now.

 “The shocking ones are not even the bounced cheques. It’s the ones that when they are coming to meet you in the house to give you money, they come with a whole camera crew. Then they will say I’m donating one million naira to you and the cameras start recording and maybe the guy’s tape stops, and he says let’s take that again (Laughs).

 “There were people in my dialysis that I gave N100k each to pay for their dialysis, we didn’t publicise it, we didn’t take photos with them, because I felt that was unnecessary.”
