Officials investigating the disappearance of 43 students in Mexico have confirmed they were kidnapped, murdered and incinerated by police.
Families of the victims believe their loved ones are still alive – but for the first time, Mexico's attorney general has said he is certain that all of the students were killed and burned before their remains were thrown into a river.



Jesus Murillo Karam also rejected claims that the army had any participation in the mass slaying.

Presidential candidate of the APC, Gen Buhari says those who are aggrieved about his certificate and the issues surrounding it should go to court and remain there. He said this while speaking with some journalists after members of the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM came to show their solidarity in the forthcoming election. He said that INEC said it has received his document and that anyone who has a contrary view to this is free to head to the court
"Well, I am not surprised, this is Nigeria. If people are serious about this issue, they ought to have listened to the legal adviser of INEC. This is the first time INEC by law have got those documents and they say they have got them, so anybody who has any different view should go to court, I think they have gone to court, so let them remain there,” he said.
Recall that an Abuja based lawyer, Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, on Monday January 26th filed a case against Gen Buhari before the Federal High court in Abuja asking the court to disqualify him over the controversies surrounding his academic certificate.

Former Assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Musa Abdullahi died on Sunday January 25 after years of battling from stroke. He died in his home state of Kogi.
Abdullahi assisted Coach Fanny Amun to lead Nigeria to a second FIFA Under-17 World Cup title in Japan in 1993. He also coached the Nigerian under 17 and 20 teams. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Former Nigerian International goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has reportedly lost his battle with cancer. The ex-Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper who had been receiving treatment at a Spanish hospital was said to have died today January 27th in Spain. He was 48 years old.

Agbonavbare, who was a member of Nigeria’s U-21 Mexico 1983 Flying Eagles, lost his wife three years ago to breast cancer. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign, Femi Fani Kayode, has responded to the article penned down by former CBN governor, Prof. Charles Soludo. For criticizing president Jonathan's economic policies, FFK said Soludo is confused and has lost touch with reality.

"Soludo has criticised the President, his government and his handling of the economy. The National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), says the Federal Government is planning to introduce a law that will ban and block all porn websites in the country. He stated this at the closing ceremony of a three-day workshop on use of social media organised for Islamic preachers, Imams and youths in Kaduna on Sunday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the workshop, which was organised by the national body of Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatis Sunna, aimed at correcting anomalies in the use of social media.

Dasuki, who was represented by the Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Turaki, said, 
“Government is planning to ban and block websites that inculcate negative attitudes in our children but we need a law to support such move. Because without a law, people can go to court and claim infringement on their rights.”

President Jonathan worshiped at Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel in Canaanland, Ota today January 25th for their thanksgiving service after their 21 days fasting period.

There's been a lot of controversy over what Pastor Oyedepo really said to GEJ at the service. Some members of President Jonathan's campaign group who followed him to Borno state on Saturday January 24th are reportedly stranded in the state following yesterday's attack on Maiduguri and some villages by members of Boko Haram. The delegates are said to have waited behind after the President's campaign.

Meanwhile 9 soldiers and a little over 50 members of Bko haram died during the attacks. The curfew which was placed on Maiduguri by the Military is to be lifted later today
