Former Ivorian First Lady Mrs Simone Gbagbo has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by an Ivorian court for organizing post election violence after her husband, Laurent Gbagbo lost out in the 2010 Presidential elections in Ivory Coast. 

In a unanimous judgement today March 10th, the court said Mrs Gbagbo together with her husband's supporters, after rejecting the results from the elections that saw her husband's main rival, Alassane Ouattara declared winner of the election, carried out activities that undermined the state security which left over 3000 people dead.

Boko Haram members today attacked residents of Gombi in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State. According to the residents, the sect members gained entrance into their community through Shani, a border town between Borno state and Cameroon. Casualty figure from the attack is yet to be ascertained but military sources say Nigerian troops succeeded in the battle with the militants

A Delta Airlines flight skidded off the runway at LaGuardia Airport, in New York this morning and crashed into a fence as it tried to land. The crash was due to bad weather. One passenger said they felt serious turbulence as they landed and the plane didn't slow down as it hit the runway until it smashed into the fence, inches from the water. All 149 passengers were quickly evacuated.

About 20 people reported minor injuries, and three of those people were taken to the hospital.

Because if he knows a place like Maidan- Agiliti, he would not have made such a statement. Bola Tinubu's media office released a statement on Monday saying they are set to sue Daar Communications, owners of AIT for what he said was a defamatory content of a documentary aired on Sunday about him on their station. Tinubu asked the TV station to retract the documentary, issue a letter of apology and demanded N20billion as cost of damage done to his reputation.

While campaigning for APC at the Degema Obonoma and Abonnema communities in Degema and Akuku-Toru Local government area of Rivers state yesterday March 3rd, Gov Rotimi Amaechi was quoted as saying to the people to vote for their stomach and not because their brother, President Jonathan was in the race to be re-elected as President.

"This election is not about brother, it is about your stomach. If dollar likes, it can get to N300 or N400 to a dollar, the President can afford it but you can’t afford it. Now they tried everything possible to stop the dollar from losing control. They couldn’t because the economy will determine whether the dollar will lose control or not and the economy has done that already. Another one is fuel. They have done everything possible to pay for fuel. They can’t pay. The money is not there. Now, there is fuel crisis.

Karrueche just tweeted this. She has said her goodbye to Chris Brown. For some reason, I kind of feel she means it this time. We all heard today that Chris is the father of a 9months old daughter.
