After a massive manhunt that spanned several states, the US police has captured 34 year old Daron Dylon Wint, who is accused of killing a wealthy D.C. couple, their son and a housekeeper. Wint was captured just before midnight Thursday in Northeast Washington, D.C., the Washington Post reports.

The fugitive (left) was traveling in a white Chevrolet Cruze along with two women, one of whom was driving. Federal marshals who had been tracking the fugitive stopped the car near 10th Street and Rhode Island Avenue NE and took Wint and the two women into custody.

One of the victims of the Ejigbo pepper sodomy, Mrs Ajoke Agomo, has narrated how she and her daughters were beaten and how pepper mixed with dry gin was rubbed inside their private parts by OPC members & some Ejigbo market leaders over allegations that they stole in the market sometime in 2013.

Speaking at the resumed hearing of the case at the Ikeja High Court yesterday May 21st, Mrs Agomo said an OPC member had stormed her home in search of her daughter, alleging that she stole at the market place.

President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari and Petroleum Minister, Dieziani Alison-Madueke are currently on-board the same British Airways plane heading to London.

According to Sahara Reporters, Alison-Madueke was billed to travel next week Tuesday May 26th and had already bought her ticket but on hearing that the President-elect was heading to London today, she allegedly asked that her ticket be fast-tracked so she can perhaps have some audience with Buhari.

The British Airways plane departed at about 9.am this morning. Buhari's reason for traveling is not unknown but he is expected back to Nigeria on Tuesday May 26 ahead of the inauguration ceremony which comes up May 29th.

A portion of Ado Ekiti Main Market was set on fire yesterday by people suspected to be from the Hausa community who have been having issues with some other members of the community. This is reportedly a reprisal attack after the Hausa community was attacked by mask-wearing hoodlums on Wednesday. Many shops were burnt down and millions lost in property and goods.

Former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili and other key members of the Bring Back Our Girls Group have responded to the letter by Defence Spokesperson, Gen Chris Olukolade in which he accused them of engaging in hate campaign against him and the military.

In its response dated May 19th, the group stressed that it was only demanding the military to find the missing Chibok girls and is in no way engaging in any hate campaign against them. This woman publicly shamed her daughter on Facebook after discovering she was posing as a 19-year-old and posting racy pics on Facebook. The woman disgraced the girl on the streets of Denver, Colorado and posted the video on her daughter's Facebook page.

In the video posted, the mother told the girl's Facebook friends that she had been lying about her age, that she wasn't old enough to be posting pics of herself in lingerie and wearing make up.

Mr. Ojo Owolabi, a senior civil servant in the Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State,tried to kill himself by drinking a large quantity of insecticide.

It was gathered that Owolabi tried to kill himself because his salary hadn't been paid for the last 6 months, hence was unable to feed his family.
According to Punch, the incident which took place last Saturday caused panic in the neighborhood when the news spread that Owolabi had tried to commit suicide.

 Owolabi, who is a sanitary officer at the council was receiving treatment at a hospital.

A source close to Owolabi said he became frustrated because he couldn't take care of his family.
The source said: Baba Ibeji (Owolabi) drank herbicide. He was frustrated because he has been unable to feed himself and other members of his family. You are aware that the state government has not paid workers for some months now. I think he just lost hope and decided to take his life by drinking Gramoxone.

President Jonathan today called on the global community to show president-elect, Buhari the same amount of support shown him. He made the call when he received members of the African Ambassadors Group in Abuja today May 20th.

"The President-elect is not new to governance in Africa ​,​ so I want you to show the same commitment to him as you have to me. A female pupil of the Fagge Special Primary School, Kano, has been hacked to death by unidentified assailants and dumped in the school pit toilet.

It was gathered that the remains of the pupil, who had yet to be identified, was discovered at about 1pm on Wednesday.

Sources at the school told Punch that the assailants had scaled the school fence to commit the “atrocity”.
It was gathered that the two pupils were abducted during school activities, hacked and dumped in a pit toilet in the school. The female pupil died, while the male pupil reportedly survived the attack.

This has got to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen. It's supposedly a scene from Madina in Ghana. So this person who looks like a man (abi?), has female breast, female butt and a p*nis. And expectedly, they are calling him/her a witch/wizard.

According to the story (which I can't verify), he/she was flying (as an animal) very early in the morning around 5am but became weak and decided to rest. (this is what Ghanaians are saying). Then  fell into a deep sleep only to wake up later naked & surrounded by people who had called the police.

President-elect, Gen. Buhari today tackled the Nigerian military over their inability to reclaim lost territories to Boko Haram. Buhari expressed his dissatisfaction at the military when he received members of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna
"The Nigerian military has never been so incapacitated like now. It is a shame that the military cannot secure 14 local governments out of the 774 local governments in the country. What is more worrisome is the fact that the military had to rely on South African machinery before it could gain recent success in the war against Boko Haram.

A few months after calling out one Steven Ugochukwu Onyebuchi, (pictured above) on twitter over claims the man was stalking and pleading for a gay relationship with him, actor Yul Edochie this morning took to twitter to release screen shots of chat messages with the alleged gay stalker. He also released chat messages between the man and another Nollywood actor, Johnpaul Nwadike who he claims the stalker had also hit on.

Yul in his tweets stated that he is neither gay nor bisexual as is being peddled by Onyebuchi, who opened an instagram page, (which has since been pulled down) immediately the story hit social media to state his own side of the story. While delivering his valedictory speech at the special thanksgiving and farewell service organized by Aso Villa Chapel yesterday May 17th, President Jonathan asked for forgiveness from those who might have felt offended by any of the moves his government made, stating that such moves were not intended to deliberately hurt anyone. He said no human institution is ever perfect. He urged everyone to pursue work towards a better Nigeria even as they leave government positions.
