The authorities in UK have now confirmed that the purported UK passport of Senate President Bukola Saraki, that was published online a few months ago was forged. Her Majesty Passport Office confirmed this after Saraki's lawyer, Andrew Stephenson of Discreet Law, London, inquired how a media house could get hold of someone's passport. The UK authorities admitted that Saraki holds a valid British passport by virtue of being born in the country but the passport passed around is fake
"I can further confirm that the number on the copy of the passport you supplied (marked 2 by yourselves) does not relate to Mr. Saraki,” the letter to Saraki's lawyer, which was sent to Premium Times, stated

A fight broke out in the Japanese parliament yesterday, September 17 as opposition lawmakers tried to stop a bill that could see the military fight abroad for the first time since World War II. Vernicia Ruguru was yesterday, September 9, found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by an embu court for burning her husband, Patrick Njue with acid on July 16, 2012 in Embu North, Kenya.

The 36-year-old claimed she committed the offense in self-defense, after the husband attempted to splash the acid on her. However, Principal Magistrate Robinson Oigara dismissed the claim stating that she would have sustained some injuries if that was the case.

A teenager killed a masked intruder holding a gun to mum's head - only to learn it was his dad.
Malachi Heisler shot his father John Heisler after he broke into the house to speak to his estranged wife.

Suspected sea pirates attacked two passenger boats and kidnapped three persons along the Ogbia to Brass waterways in Bayelsa yesterday August 26th. According to reports, the kidnapped victims, Chief Blessing Wagio and Chief Isaac Akono-Igolo, as well as an unidentified security man, were attacked around Kiberibio area of the Ogbia-Brass waterway.

The Bayelsa state police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat confirmed the incident but said detail are still very sketchy.
