A Nigerian man is facing federal charges in the U.S for preying on and targeting hundreds of them including residents of the St. Louis area, using fake dating profiles in order to extort money from them.
Olayinka Ilumsa Sunmola, 32, on Wednesday, March 2, pleaded guilty to eight counts of a federal indictment and admitted that he was the ringleader of a group that successfully wooed hundreds of women online, then convinced them to send cash to bail him out of phony emergencies..

Speaking at the Oloibiri Lecture Series and Energy Forum, organized by the Society of Petroleum Explorationists, SPE, Nigeria Council, in Abuja, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, yesterday, revealed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, would become profitable again by July 2016, the corporation's first profits in 15 years.

 
 A suspect identified as Kingsley was accused of stealing from the church offering box of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ejigbo, Lagos, and has been arrested. The church’s private guards on Tuesday stopped and searched him and recovered N5,000, which he allegedly stole from him.It is alleged that Kingsley had earlier been arrested for the same offence.

A British-born Nigerian was removed from an Easyjet flight at Luton airport after a fellow passenger read a message that mentions 'prayer' on his mobile phone and alerted cabin crew, who raised alarm with the police.
Laolu Opebiyi was using WhatsApp to arrange a conference call prayer session with friends, as the Amsterdam-bound flight was waiting to take off at Luton airport on Thursday February 25 when a passenger next to him questioned him about message that included the word 'prayer' asking "What do you mean by prayer?" 

This baby was brought back to life after his heart stopped. Lincoln Seay was born with his heart on the wrong wide of his body causing serious health complications. Four days after he went into cardiac arrest, a heart transplant became available for him. For the moment Doctors were able to stabilize Lincoln's vitals.

35 year old Ome Enyi said to be a prostitute, was found dead in a brothel in Kubwa, Abuja on March 1st. According to Dailytrust, Ome had attended to a yet to be identified man in the brothel the previous night and was found dead in the morning. The man had checked out of the brothel before her corpse was discovered.

Members of the Hausa and Yoruba community in Mile 12 /Ketu area of Lagos state have been fighting since Wednesday night. No one knows why they are fighting but according to unconfirmed reports, 3 people have been killed. However police and other law enforcement agents have arrived the area and are trying to restore law and order. Some arrests have been made.

Immediate past chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Victor Umeh, was today arrested by men of the Department of State Security DSS. According to Channels TV, Umeh was picked up in Enugu and then flown to Abuja for questioning. The reason behind his arrest is yet unknown.
