The mastermind of the kidnap of three Australians working for Lafarge Cememnt Company in Cross River state, Samuel Asuquo, has been arrested by Department of State Service operatives. This was contained in a press statement released by the spokesperson of the DSS, Tony Opuiyo.

The statement adds that a gang of kidnappers that had earlier kidnapped five Igbo women and collected the sum of Thirteen Million Naira (N13m) as ransom have also been arrested. Also arrested is a Boko Haram IED specialist in Kano state. Read statement after the cut.

The convoy of the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode fortunately saved several motorists from being attacked by a gang of armed robbers, who struck at Long Bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The incident which took place last Thursday at about 8 pm was said to have been carried out by armed robbers who were dressed as Police officers.

A 37-year old man allegedly set the home of his in-laws on fire at Isampou in Ekeremor LGA in Bayelsa state, killing the mother-in-law, after his wife divorced him. The brother-in-law, who sustained first degree burns later died at the hospital.

According to Leadership Newspaper, the incident occurred on Thursday, at about 9pm. Angry mob from the community stormed the suspect's village in speed boats with the burnt corpses to carry out a reprisal attack by setting ablaze his family house ablaze in Bomadi, Delta State.

The Lagos state command is currently investigating the general overseer of 'Tongue of Fire Restoration Ministry' for a case of abduction, defilement and abortion. On 30/6/2016, the command received a report that the suspect, a pastor with a church situated on Jacob Taiwo Street Oshodi was harbouring some young girls and freely having unlawful canal knowledge of them.

Actress Lisa Raye, 49, and rapper, Da Brat, 42, are biological sisters with the same father, David Ray McCoy, but different mothers.

Ray McCoy was a well known Chicago businessman, who owned several hotels and nightclubs, and he was also known to lend money to people who wanted to start their own businesses. He was brutally murdered in 1988 by his girlfriend and her brother.
