A woman, Julia Stephenson who is a journalist, environmentalist and former It-girl,  has been labelled “deluded”, “shallow” and “embarrassing” after writing a tell-all article claiming she was unable to be faithful to her husband because she is “too beautiful”. Stephenson wrote a controversial article for the Mail Online titled: “The agony of being too beautiful to be faithful.”

Popular business mogul at Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos, Daniel Okwuchukwu Chinemelum, and his wife Felicia Chidimma, were laid to rest on March 17th, in their hometown Ekwenanyika Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. Late Chinemelum, popularly known as FEDAN, at Alaba International market and his wife lost their lives after he drove off a bridge and plunged into a river in January 2017. A Cambodian aid worker, 51 year old Mounh Sarath, claims that the documentation Angelina Jolie used to adopt her oldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, contained false information in order to speed up the adoption process of Maddox in Cambodia.
He said that he lied that he was Maddox's father in his adoption papers in order to speed up the process of passing him into Jolie's care in 2003. He also claims that he provided a local address on the adoption papers, that he is still Maddox's father on paper and still has power of attorney over the 15-year-old boy.

Samuel Ime Edekhe, a 200-level student of the Department of Agricultural Engineering in Akwa Ibom State University was laid to rest on Friday, March 10th, in Uyo. He was aged 20.
Late Edekhe, was described as a first class material, having gotten a GPA of 4.35 in his 100 level of study. He is survived by three  brothers, a father and mother, as well as a grandfather.

A 39-year-old man was shot and killed by soldiers at Orly Airport outside Paris on Friday morning after he attacked a soldier and attempted to steal her rifle. Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said the attacker identified as Ziyed Ben Belgacem, a French-born national, held a pistol to the soldier's head and used her as a shield. He reportedly yelled that he wanted to "die for Allah and whatever happens, there will be deaths"
He was a serial offender with 44 offences on his criminal record - his most recent being for armed robbery. The police source initially said the man was a radicalised Muslim who was known to the authorities.

At least 17 revelers and tourists mostly high school students died after a huge tree fell on them at Kintampo waterfalls in Brong Ahafo Region, Ghana on Sunday, March 19th.
Huge trees fell from uphill crushing and trapping people in the water. Many are still trapped in there. Several others injured in the accident are receiving treatment at the regional hospital, according to Kintampo divisional police commander Desmond Boampong.

A 60 year old man who is a chieftain of PDP, Dr Isaac Ojukwu, has committed suicide after he reportedly set himself on fire in a rented hotel apartment in Nyanya, a satellite town of Abuja on Thursday. The deceased who is a member of the PDP, Diaspora unit, was said to have handled the diaspora unit of the Party in Germany, Denmark among other foreign countries.

A woman identified as, Emerald has attempted suicide by jumping into the lagoon from Maza-Maza Bridge in the Mile 2 area of Lagos.

According to the Daily Sun, a witness revealed that the woman was walking along the bridge when she suddenly got to the middle, climbed the rails and jumped.

Barr. Gideon Morik, a former Chaiman of Jama'a Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna and father of 14-year-old Anna Morik, is dead. Hon. Morik passed away on March 16th, 2017, after a brief illness. LIB recall that on Christmas eve December 24th, 2016, Hon. Morik's community was invaded by Fulani herdsmen. His daughter was among those brutally massacred. Hundreds of houses were burnt down and property worth hundreds of millions of Naira destroyed. Early last week, a social worker was notified that three year old had not shown up at her daycare for a couple of days. When the social worker arrived at the home the toddler shared with her single mother, Deja Lynn Toler, she was able to convince the girl to open the front door. Once inside the apartment, she found the mom dead in her bed.
NBC Connecticut reports that she had likely died several days earlier.

The Bauchi State Police Command on Thursday, March 16th, paraded crime suspects including one Sani Abubakar, 39, of Dutsen Tanshi and Usman Hassan male, 33, of the same address, who lured a 6 years old girl and had unlawful carnal knowledge with her at a primary school in Dutsen Tanshi area of Bauchi. The two suspects were teachers at the same Primary School.
In another development, on March 12th, Police detectives attached Burra Division arrested one Abdulkareem Wada male, aged 20yrs of Magani Ward in Burra Town, Ningi LGA.

The IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) working in synergy with Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) have smashed and arrested three (3) members of an armed robbery/Kidnap gang in Zaria, Kaduna State on Wednesday March 15th.

The suspects include 32 year old Nuhu Fulani, 26 year old Yahaya Muhammed and 23 year old Aisha Bature, a female who is said to be the wife of the gang leader.

A 17-year-old New York teenager has been arrested for allegedly beating the 2-year-old boy he was babysitting until the child became brain dead. Ethan Bigham had been placed in the care of Devon Vanderwege when he brutally abused him at the little boy's family house trailer in Marilla.

"Ethan's entire face was mutilated, he was beaten so badly. His back is black and blue.
