24-year-old Lavinia Woodward is an aspiring heart surgeon and is so brilliant she has published articles in medical journals. So despite the fact that she physically abused Thomas Fairclough then stabbed him, she will most likely be given a lenient sentence.

The body of a young man was found lying near a damaged motor cycle at Ebedei by the Road Safety Office, Ukwuole in Ukwanu Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday morning. The deceased said to be from Akoku community is believed to have been knocked down by a hit-and-run driver.

A Ghanaian lady was butchered to death by her abusive ex-fiance after she refused to reconcile with him in Labone, Ghana.

According to the reports online, the lady walked out of the relationship with her kids and moved to aunt's house, after she could no longer endure his physical abuse towards her.
The culprit tried to get her back into the relationship but she refused, and this infuriated him even more. He then went her aunt's house where he used a machete to butcher the woman. She was found by neighbors who rushed her to the hospital but she died on the way.

Yoav Galant, the minister of Housing and Construction in Israel has called for the assassination of Syrian President Bashar Assad saying he 'does not have a place in this world.'
The call comes days after the US State Department accused the Assad regime of carrying out mass killings of thousands of prisoners and burning the bodies in a large crematorium outside the capital.
The State Department said it is believed that about 50 detainees a day are being hanged at Saydnaya military prison, about 45 minutes north of Damascus.

A horrific video circulating online showed a woman on a mobile phone getting hit by a car in Chonburi province, Thailand and her body flying across the road.
The woman, identified as 40-year-old Sudchada Bureepia, survived the accident. She suffered a broken skull and was sent to Phyathai Sriracha Hospital. Unfortunately, she died at the hospital on Thursday, May 12.

The Malawi Police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), Lilongwe, on Monday afternoon May 8 arrested a 43-year old Nigerian national for attempting to externalise US$7,000 (MK5 million), which was hidden in his hand luggage.
KIA Spokesperson Sapulain Chitonde, identified the suspect as Egemonye Christian Chinedu, from Nnewi and holder of a Nigerian Passport number A05010761.

The Health Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo together with the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Friday that one person who died recently of a hemorrhagic fever has tested positive for the Ebola virus, indicating a fresh new outbreak of the killer disease. 
According to the Ministry, the case was confirmed after tests were conducted on nine people who came down with a hemorrhagic fever in Bas-Uele province in the north of the country on or after April 22, adding that three people have died of fever.

The body of a man who was declared missing was found Friday at Abeke Road beside former Texaco Filling Station in Sapele, Delta State. The elder brother and younger sister, who have identified him said that he left home Thursday, May 11 and they had been searching for him. until they discovered his body. 10-year-old Juliana Ossa is lucky to be alive, she was attacked by a 9ft alligator at Mary Jane Lake but fought the beast off and escaped with injuries to her leg. On a trip to Orland theme park, Gatorland, she picked up tips on what to do in case of an alligator attack and those lessons ultimately saved her life. The Abia State Police Command has recovered two stolen vehicles and arrested a suspected armed robber.
