 A 12-year-old girl whose rapist walked free from court has spoken of being "devastated" in a powerful letter.

The victim was plied with vodka and cherry cola at a party before being raped by Daniel Cieslak, then aged 19.

Cieslak, now 21, was controversially given an absolute discharge by a court in Scotland after claiming the 12-year-old had been an “active participant” in sex with him.

A court in Germany has sentenced a couple to a lengthy jail term on Friday for brutally raping and killing a Chinese student in eastern Germany.

According to DPA new agency,  the 21-year-old defendants, named only as Sebastian F. and Xenia I., lured the 25-year-old architecture student to an empty apartment in May last year. They were said to have brutally rapped and tortured her to death.

A woman whose skull was cracked and whose face was partially torn off by an exploding whipped cream canister has been awarded €1.1m by a French court.

The trial comes just months after a prominent (pictured above)died after a similar incident involving a whipped cream canister made by the same manufacturer.

A court in the southern French town of Montauban has ruled that Emilie Lada deserved the payout after the household accident in 2013 left her with permanent disabilities,

Two children found dead in a hot car after being locked in by their mother were killed by heatstroke, a coroner has ruled.

Cynthia Randolph, 25, is facing criminal charges over the tragic deaths of daughter Juliet, two, and 16-month-old Cavanaugh.

She initially told officers the pair "took off" and by the time she found them they had locked themselves in her car.

Policemen attached to Ilasa Division in Lagos have arrested a suspected serial rapist for allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl at Osoyintola area of Ilasamaja.

Preliminary investigation, as gathered, revealed that the victim was the sixth minor to be raped by the suspect, identified as Emeka. Emeka, reportedly, usually lured his victims, whose ages are between five and six years, with sweets and biscuits into bathrooms and toilets, where he rapes them.

Suspected members of the Badoo cult disguised as worshippers on Saturday to attack the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Okin Parish, Igbo Agbowa, Ibeshe, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro learnt that a woman, who had attended a vigil in the church, was injured after her head was smashed with a stone.

It was gathered that three Badoo suspects had mingled with the congregation during the vigil, which ended around 3am on Saturday.
