Boko Haram had on Saturday attacked Izge and Dogon Baga villages in Borno and thousands have fled to Adamawa and Chad Republic.
A source in entourage of one of the governors told SaharaReporters the governors are in a stormy session.
Niger State governor, Dr. Muazu Aliyu is chairing the meeting and in his opening remarks, before journalists were excused. said the governors irrespective of their political parties must make their stand known today on the Boko Haram menace and other issues threatening survival of the north.
Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who did not receive President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday in Kano, is said to be attending.
A communiqué is expected after their closed door meeting.
