Doctors had told Abragh Mohamed that she had died as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident.
Mohamed had a funeral for her and felt truly sad.
But when he was watching television recently, he got the shock of his life.
There on the TV screen was his wife, and she was alive and well.
The show is popular in Morocco… it’s called “Al Mutajafun” or “Disappeared.”
The show is designed to reconnect loved ones.
On the show, Mohamed’s wife called in and told the show’s hosts that she had lost contact with her husband, and she even gave them her former address.
Mohamed wasn’t watching at the time, but all of a sudden friends were calling him to tell him that his supposed dead wife was looking for him.
“I did not know that is was a different body that we buried and my wife was still alive,” he reportedly told a newspaper reporter.
Investigators are trying to figure out what happened.
One theory is that she lost her memory.
The husband says he was told his wife needed surgery, and he left to go get the money.
But when he returned, the doctors reportedly told him that she had died.
The two have been reunited.
