Abia Warriors coach Kennedy Boboye has said he feels honoured to work as assistant coach of the Super Eagles. On Wednesday,
the Nigeria Football Federation announced Salisu Tush as the new
temporary head coach of the Super Eagles to be assisted by Imama
Amapakabo and Kennedy Boboye , and the three coaches will take charge of
the Super Eagles’ international friendly matches against Mali and
Luxembourg.
Boboye
feels his appointment is as a result of his hardwork in the Nigerian
Football league especially with Abia Warriors and says he will ensure
the Super Eagles play attractive football.
“I feel honoured getting a chance to handle the Super Eagles – to be honest, it is a dream come true,” Boboye told Goal.
“This is a reward for my hardwork in the Nigeria Professional Football League and we pray for victory and the wherewithal to change the face of Nigerian football.
“With my coming on board with Imama [Amapakabo] and Salisu [Yusuf], we will ensure things work out and play attractive football.
“Our brand of football has to be offensive and also take the chances that come our way. We have been conceding goals in our recent international matches and that is not good for us too.
“We're going to work hard to be the best we can - that will make Nigerians happy and send a message that our appointment is not a fluke,” he concluded.
