Few weeks after a Nigerian grandfather Sampson Omogbo and his wife Carolyn, died in a house-fire alongside their 2 year old twin grand children at their home in USA (Read here), another Nigerian family, 26 year old Jeremiah Owojori, his pregnant wife Ashley, their 5 year old son and seven month old son all died in a tragic fire incident at their home at 201 Coleman Str. in West Monroe, Louisiana, USA. The sad incident took place on Sunday January 24th.

This happened on Oriyomi street in Ikeja this morning. The two Keke Marwa and other Kekes were moving along this street when the wooden electrical pole landed on two of them. Thankfully, no one was injured but it could have been worse. I think it's time PHCN takes a nationwide inspection of all the existing wooden poles for safety checks. The 32 year old curvy model hit the gym today hours after the twitter spat between herself, Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West. She wore a bright yellow top and a black leggings which showed her shape, her top had a crude slogan emblazoned on it which read: Make eye contact while eating banana". There was a strange occurrence on American Airlines Flight AA109 from London to Los Angeles. 6 cabin crew members and two passengers suddenly fell ill, forcing the plane to declare an emergency landing and return to London. When they landed at Heathrow, passengers said they were not told anything other than they should remain in their seats. An official from the London Fire service got onboard the plane to carry out tests on the air inside the cabin before passengers were allowed to disembark but their luggage was confiscated for analysis.

I'm sorry, I would never support stripping and humiliating a child in this manner. I think stealing from his mum was absolutely horrid but there are other ways to punish a child other than stripping him naked. Plus he's 9. Many of us stole from our parents when we were that age or a little older. Our brains don't function properly at that age...meaning we don't know better! Mum shouldn't have done that!

One of Lionel Messi's fans has gone to extreme lengths to show his admiration for the Barcelona player. He got a tattoo of the player poised in his signature celebration, on his back. He was then lucky to meet his idol and Messi was happy to oblige, offering his signature to be permanently added to the back tattoo of his image. He signed the fan's back with a marker which the fan then took to a tattoo parlour to make it permanent. See the result after the cut...

Earlier today, I posted a photo of a little boy whose eyes were plucked out. (read here.) I now have more details. 4 year-old Naseerdeen's eyes were plucked out by ritualists in Zaria, Kaduna state. According to Aishat who shared this photo of Naseerdeen, on January 24, he was kidnapped along with his sister in Marafa (police college) Kaduna State, on their way to a mosque close to their home. 

The kidnappers later dropped off the sister at sultan road Kaduna but took Naseerdeen to an unknown location. Naseerdeen was later found without his two eyes...

"I'm happy if he's happy, whatever he's doing in life," he tells ET. "I can't confirm any of that, but, you know, he's smart, he's happy."

An unidentified student has died of Lassa fever in Ebonyi State. The state governor Dave Umahi made this known at a town hall meeting in Abakaliki, the state capital yesterday January 26th. Speaking at the meeting, Umahi urged residents of the state to immediately go to the hospital for proper testing anytime they fall ill
