Circumcision or 'tuli' as it is known in the Philippines is common in the country with 93% of males circumcised. It is tradition for boys about to enter puberty. Uncircumcised boys are often teased by peers so the boys endure the pain in order to be accepted socially.


According to the World Health Organisation, 30 to 33 percent of men aged 15 or over are circumcised worldwide but the figure is much higher in Philippines at 93% where the majority of the population is Roman Catholic.

The Oyo state police command has arrested 60-year-old Asabi Adebayo pictured above, for allegedly buying five babies (two boys and three girls) ranging from 2 years, eight months, seven months, six months and four months, at N5 million from Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.


According to Tribune, Asabi who is a US-returnee, was arrested at an orphanage in Oyo where she had gone to obtain a certified police report to put the babies up for adoption.

Armed robbery has taken a new dimension in Nigeria especially Lagos given the abundant ATMs in Lagos. Armed robbers now visit ATMs on Friday evenings so as to forcefully collect the ATM cards and PIN codes of customers.
They approach you with a smile while you are attempting to make a transaction, display their guns and also point to their colleagues around in case you attempt to play smart by refusing or screaming.
They then collect your ATM cards and ask for your PIN codes. They confirm the PIN there to know if it’s fake.

An unidentified middle aged man was found near Mansa main market, Zambia in the early hours of Friday, April 22, with missing private parts.
Provincial commanding officer Hudson Hamachila, who confirmed the incident said the private parts were missing when the body was found with two deep cuts in the head. The body has been taken to Mansa General Hospital. See the photos after the cut.

63 year old Incumbent Chadian President, Idriss Deby Itno, has been declared winner of the country's presidential elections. The Electoral body said Deby won by 61.56% of votes cast. This would be his fifth term in office after he took power via a coup 26 years ago.
Mr Idriss Deby's supporters celebrated by firing guns into the air in the central square in the capital, N'Djamena.

A 16-year-old girl of Howard High School of Technology has died after she was attacked after she came out of the school's bathroom on Thursday.
The school Principal, Stanley Spoor said the 10th grader was allegedly attacked by two students in the restroom around 8:15 a.m., just before classes began at the Wilmington, Delaware school.

Two Nebraska children, 14 year old  Mackenzie and her 12 year old brother Ethan Behrens were on a road trip from Kearney to Colorado with their father, 44-year-old Jason Behrens, who appeared to be drunk. The children began texting 911 asking for help. They texted 911 to send a cop to stop their father from allegedly driving drunk in a rental car on March 25 and putting their lives at risk.

A little boy, Yamanoor Naranal who was born in India with a fluid-filled sac on the back of his skull so big it looked like he had a second head has successfully udergone and survived a six-hour operation to have it removed.
His parents Karriappa Naranal, 35, and wife Shridevi Naranal, 28, from Tavariyara village, in Karnataka, had been told a few days after he was born that there was no hope of treatment.
