49 year old Anthony Ehumadu who raped his 15 year old daughter at their Oko-Oba home in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State, says he committed the abominable act under the influence of forces beyond him. Anthony, who aped his daughter who is in JSS 1 twice, said the first time he committed the crime, he was drunk but the second time, he acted by some powers beyond his control.

Former Israeli president Shimon Peres has died. One of the last of a generation of Israeli politicians present at the new nation's birth in 1948, Shimon Peres died today, two weeks after suffering a major stroke. One of Nigeria's foremost and prominent Disc jockeys, DJ Midas has died. DJ Midas, whose real name is Michael Adedoyin, died after a brief illness yesterday Tuesday September 27th.

Shortly before his death, DJ Midas worked with Silverbird's Rhythm FM. He joined the radio station in1998 as a pioneer and regular DJ host. He was in his 40s. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari came to the aid of victims of a crash which occurred today. A member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC identified as Ene Gertrude Adole has passed away. Although details of her sad demise is still sketchy at the moment, it is gathered that she died yesterday from unknown ailment.
