5 days after he was abducted by unknown gunmen at his farm in Adamawa state, Hon Sani Ribadu, the younger brother of former EFCC Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu has regained his freedom. According to a family source, he returned unhurt. It is however not clear whether any ransom was paid for his release.

According to a new report, legendary actor Robin Williams' suicide was triggered by a horrible disease called Lewy Body Dementia.

TMZ has obtained documents showing Williams was struggling with the disease, which is marked by abnormal protein deposits in the brain that disrupt normal function. 
Lewy Body Dementia is a common condition associated with Parkinson's ... and people afflicted by both often get severe side effects from Parkinson's meds. Hallucinations are common, where patients see phantom objects, people or animals. The patients often try to converse with the illusions.

Senior Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly and Human rights activist/politician, Pastor Tunde Bakare turned 60 today November 11th and friends and family gathered at the church's headquarters in Ogba, Lagos this morning for a celebration service in his honor.

His church members handed him a cheque of N20million for his proposed renovation of the All Saints school in Abeokuta which is the first school he attended.

A young Nigerian army officer Lt Mayowa Areago, (pictured above) was shot dead three days ago while retreating from a mission to fight the Boko Haram in Borno state. According to his friends who sent in his photos, he graduated from Nigerian Defence Academy in 2012 and was immediately posted to the North to help in the fight against Boko Haram.
"Please help us appeal to the government to give our military the right weapons to defend this nation. A lot of innocent people have died to defend you and I. According to a report released yesterday November 11th by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 13,000 Nigerians fled from Nigeria to Cameroon in October after the attack and capture of Mubi town in Adamawa state by Boko Haram members.

According to the report, which you can find here, some 13,000 Nigerian refugees mostly women and children, fled Mubi town in over 300 vehicles and settled in towns of Guider and Gashiga in the North region of Cameroun and to Bourha, Mogode and Boukoula in the Far North of Cameroon.

Some people might like Kim Kardashian's nude cover for Paper magazine but Glee actress Naya Rivera is not one of them. The captain of the South Korean Sewol ferry that sank on April 16th killing over 300 students on their way to a field trip and other passengers on board, has been sentenced to 36 years in prison.

Lee Joon-seok, was sentenced today November 11th after a 6-month trial, after being found guilty of violating 'Seamen's law' and abandonment causing death and injury.

He was accused of abandoning his ship and leaping to safety while hundreds of his passengers remained inside the ferry as it sank. Prosecutors said he failed to use available equipments in his ship such as life rafts, life vests and announcements to evacuate the passengers.
The Ferry's chief engineer was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 30 years, while the remaining 13 crew members were sentenced five to 20 years.

Following the attack on Government Senior Science Secondary School in Potiskum yesterday by Boko Haram members which killed 47 students, Yobe state government today closed down all public and private schools in the state, indefinitely.

According to a statement released by the state's Commissioner for Education, the closure is with immediate effect.

I think the president is officially declaring tomorrow so traffic will be tough in some parts of Abuja. Below is a press release from the police
"This is to alert the public of a major event taking place at Eagle Square Abuja tomorrow Tuesday, 11th November, 2014.
Members of the public are advised to use alternative routes, as vehicular traffic will be diverted from most of the roads leading in and out of Eagle Square Central Business District, Abuja between 0500am and 0800pm of Tuesday, 11th November, 2014.
The Nigeria Police Force regrets any inconvenience the diversion of vehicular movements within the area may cause members of the public, as this is one of the proactive security measures put in place to avoid break down of law and order in the area and Abuja at large.
