A New York man Ronnie Brower, who weighed 675 pounds 2 years ago, and was told that if he didn’t lose weight he would die at age 35, is crediting his personal trainers and Taylor Swift with helping him lose more than 400 pounds.

At the beginning of his journey, Brower was unable to leave his house because it was too difficult to get around. He relied on hand weights and a hand bike to get around.

This has got to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen. It's supposedly a scene from Madina in Ghana. So this person who looks like a man (abi?), has female breast, female butt and a p*nis. And expectedly, they are calling him/her a witch/wizard.

According to the story (which I can't verify), he/she was flying (as an animal) very early in the morning around 5am but became weak and decided to rest. (this is what Ghanaians are saying). Then  fell into a deep sleep only to wake up later naked & surrounded by people who had called the police.

President-elect, Gen. Buhari today tackled the Nigerian military over their inability to reclaim lost territories to Boko Haram. Buhari expressed his dissatisfaction at the military when he received members of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna
"The Nigerian military has never been so incapacitated like now. It is a shame that the military cannot secure 14 local governments out of the 774 local governments in the country. What is more worrisome is the fact that the military had to rely on South African machinery before it could gain recent success in the war against Boko Haram.

A few months after calling out one Steven Ugochukwu Onyebuchi, (pictured above) on twitter over claims the man was stalking and pleading for a gay relationship with him, actor Yul Edochie this morning took to twitter to release screen shots of chat messages with the alleged gay stalker. He also released chat messages between the man and another Nollywood actor, Johnpaul Nwadike who he claims the stalker had also hit on.

Yul in his tweets stated that he is neither gay nor bisexual as is being peddled by Onyebuchi, who opened an instagram page, (which has since been pulled down) immediately the story hit social media to state his own side of the story. An innocent man who spent 29 years behind bars after being convicted of an attempted rape and kidnapping has finally been given his freedom. Michael McAlister was cleared after a serial rapist who had an uncanny resemblance to the 58-year-old at the time confessed to the 1986 offence. He was granted an unconditional pardon by Virginia's governor, wiping away the prosecution which he had campaigned against for decades alongside family and friends.

Senate passes anti-Tobacco bill, culprits could get up to 6 months jail term

The Senate yesterday passed the Tobacco Control Bill. According to the deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu who presided over the plenary session on Tuesday May 12th, the bill will ensure effective regulation and control of production, manufacture, sale, labeling, advertising, promotion and sponsorship of tobacco and tobacco products in Nigeria.

The bill among other things specifies the places cigarette smokers could smoke and areas where smoking is forbidden and also the punishment to be meted out to defaulters when they smoke in non-designated areas. Culprits could get up to six months in jail

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being buried alive by a bear - which may have been saving her for its next meal. Natalya Pasternak, 55 (right), was attacked and seriously wounded when the bear (pictured left) pounced on her in the far east of Russia.

Mother-of-two Natalya, a post office worker, was collecting birch sap in a forest near Tynda in Amur region with a friend when the attack happened. A shocking picture taken by police shows her lying under the pile of foliage where the bear had buried her, a clawed and bloodied arm visible.

Imagine celebrating your 102 birthday. Amazing! Anyway, to the story! 102 year old great-grand mother, Louise Bonito, was trying to blow out her birthday candles when her teeth flew out instead.

The adorable grandma, who was surrounded by her children, grand and great grand children for the birthday celebration, laughed at what happened, and the sweet moment was captured on film and shared on instagram. It has been re-posted by many others and watched by thousands, making her an internet sensation. She explained to ABC News:
I was sitting down and my daughter brought in a cake with a 1-0-2 on it. She said, ‘OK mom, you have to blow out the candles. I took a deep, deep, breath and with all my might I blew out the candles and then my teeth came out. Well my grandchildren went crazy laughing, and laughing."

Anna Ursu, 18, went to the train station in the northern Romanian town of Iasi in the hope of taking a ‘special’ selfie to post on Facebook.

The Lagos state police command has arrested 19 year old Enugu state indigene, Tochukwu Anosike pictured above for killing his friend, 15 year old Imo state indigene, Nonso Monyasa, during an argument over who would occupy a seat at their shop where they are both learning a trade in Lagos. 
Punch reports that the young men had been friends in the last two years after the suspect moved to Lagos to learn a trade in the same shopping complex where the deceased was also an apprentice.

According to sources close to the governor, Governor Oshiomole will be getting married to Miss Lala Forte at the Etsako West Local Government Council Marriage Registry, Auchi on Friday May 15th by 10am. Reception will take place at the People's Hall in Iyamho, Edo state.

Oshiomhole has already sent out a personally signed letter to friends and associates inviting them to his wedding. Now going to look for pics of the girl. I hear she's non-Nigeria & is a former air-hostess.
