The Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical company says it will begin 2 million liters of petroleum products today April 27th. According to the management of the company, the refinery will get its supply of crude from Escravos, Delta state and then begin refining immediately. This is part of efforts to increase the supply of fuel nationwide.

The Department of State Security DSS has arrested the Special Assistant to the Senate President on Youth and Student Matters and President of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Barrister Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, according to a report by Vanguard.

The brother of Ugochinyere, Obinna Ikeagwuonu, released a statement, informing the public of his arrest. The statement in part reads;

The baby, Lamonthea Theus only 3-month-old but has already lost his hand after he was shot while sitting in his car seat early last Saturday morning in Kansas.

Governor Fayose of Ekiti state led family members of the 6 doctors and a driver from Ekiti state who died in a fatal accident along the Kaduna expressway on Sunday April 24th, to receive their corpses at Fajuyi roundabout, Ado Ekiti, this evening. A Fire tragedy which could have destroyed an entire filling station was averted in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state. A car had stopped to buy fuel at an NNPC Mega Filling Station and the driver of the vehicle was reportedly buying fuel when the car suddenly exploded. It took the help of some concerned people around to put it out through sand and water.

Police colonel Andrey Gosht, 49, his wife Svetlana, 51, his 27 year old niece Svetlana Kurilas and his sister, Elena Gosht, 42 were all bludgeoned to death in a sickening contract killing.
Another niece, Sofia, 7, is seriously wounded in the head and abdomen, and is in a coma after being flown by emergency helicopter to hospital. The bloody scene was discovered by the colonel's brother, Evgeny, 44 after returning to his parents' home in Ivashevka village, Samara region.
