Two police officers identified as Usman Adamu and Usman Ango, were shot dead by armed robbers at Airport road junction in Warri, Delta state yesterday May 9th. According to the spokesperson of the state's police command, Celestina Kalu, the deceased officers, who were members of the Joint Task Force, had gone to the bank on mufti and without their arms, to withdraw some money when they were shot during a robbery attack.

According to an eyewitness, the alleged thieves who specialized in stealing batteries from unattended vehicles had been terrorizing residents of Odume Layout Obosi in Anambra State. 19  year old Nigeria International Kelechi Iheanacho is in line to win Man City's Player of the year award for his fine form this season, but faces serious competition from Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Jesus Navas, Joe Hart, Fernando and Fernandinho.

The body of a nine-year-old boy was found dumped on the road on Sunday morning, May 8 in Al-Nasiriya town in Wirshiffana district, Libya.
