Four persons were injured on Thursday, June 2 on LASU-Igando road when a tomato-laden truck collided with a Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) disposal van.

According to a statement issued today by LASEMA a police escort, Michael Adeyeye, was trapped in the truck, but was rescued by Lagos State Emergency Agency and Lagos State Fire Service officials.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today ordered the cousin of former President Jonathan, Azibaola Roberts, to be remanded in Kuje prison, till tomorrow June 8th when his bail application will be heard. Azibaola has been in EFCC custody since March when he was invited for questioning over a $40m contract which he allegedly received from the office of embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

The remains of Mrs. Roseline Sougie whose throat was allegedly slit by her husband, Jafaru Sougie, at their home at Oshodi, Lagos state on Friday May 27th was laid to rest yesterday June 6th. The 45 year old mother of four was allegedly killed by her husband over allegations of infidelity. Photo of the knife her husband used to slit her throat after the cut. He has since been arrested.

Police investigating the possible murder of a toddler in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, last week say witness overheard a woman threatening to kill a boy of similar age several days before the body was found. The yet to be unidentified toddler, who police estimate was about 2 years-old was found face dowm in a pond with strangulation wounds in Chroy Changva district's Bak Khengon Friday morning, June 3.

A four-year-old British boy, Isa Dare, AKA Jihadi Junior, who appeared to blow up a group of ISIS prisoners in a propaganda video, has been reportedly smuggled into Sweden for an operation by his London-born Jihadi bride mother Grace Dare, The Sun reports.
It is reported that Grace who has changed her name to Khadijah smuggled her son from the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa to Sweden after he had been sick for some months.

Labour strike: Fayose writes NLC President, blames national economic crisis for non-payment of workers salary Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has replied the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, attributing the State's inability to pay workers salary regularly to the current downturn in the nation's economy and the heavy loan burden left by his predecessor.
The governor, in his response to the NLC President's letter on the ongoing workers strike in the State, called on the NLC to join the advocacy for fiscal restructuring in Nigeria with a view to reviewing the federation allocation formular in favour of States, towards a lasting solution to the palpable indigent status of most States.
