An unlicensed Nigerian driver who drove carelessly with no insurance has been jailed following the death of a pedestrian in Barking.
Adebowale Adeyemi, 38 of Cowbridge Lane, Barking was sentenced on Monday, 6 June at Snaresbrook Crown Court to three years and seven months' imprisonment after pleading guilty to causing death by careless driving; causing death whilst not driving a vehicle in accordance with a licence; and causing death whilst driving uninsured. But isn't three years too steep?

Suspected Boko Haram members attacked a police station and military base killing seven persons in Kanama, the headquarters of Yunusari local government area of Yobe State yesterday June 7th.

Resident of the community say the sect members stormed their community chanting Allahu Akbar, killing people, snatching pure water bags, bags of sugar, rice, milk and foodstuffs. Many of the residents ran to the bush for safety.

A judge on Tuesday threw out the murder convictions of Davontae Sanford who pleaded guilty to killing four people at age 14, a case which a lot of people had doubted for years especially after a professional hit man stepped forward and took responsibility for the murders at a drug den.
Judge Brian Sullivan acted at the request of the Wayne County prosecutor's office and lawyers for , Sanford who's now 23.

Four persons were injured on Thursday, June 2 on LASU-Igando road when a tomato-laden truck collided with a Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) disposal van.

According to a statement issued today by LASEMA a police escort, Michael Adeyeye, was trapped in the truck, but was rescued by Lagos State Emergency Agency and Lagos State Fire Service officials.
