A priest was found dead with his throat slit after two men armed with knives took hostages at a church in Rouen, France this morning July 26th. The men had arrived the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray and held the priest, two nuns and other church members hostage during their early morning mass. The police arrived the scene and shot dead the two armed men. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The French police is investigating the incident as it unfolds.

Award winning actor and film maker, Stephanie Linus, was a keynote speaker at the ‘African Child Campaign’ organized by the Canadian High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria last Thursday 21st July. A notorious rapist and paedophile identified as Badoo was apprehended in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state and burnt to death by an angry mob.

A Python was found by a man named Johnbull Cleopas, on his site in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He found the dead snake trapped in his fence. Apparently it swallowed a big animal and while trying to slither away, got caught up in a fence, struggled a lot and eventually died on the spot. A Florida man, 29-year-old Kevin A. Smith , allegedly pointed a gun at his 22-year-old girlfriend's head while she breastfed their newborn according to Police in St. Augustine. They say he was upset when he arrived at home and thought his 2-week-old was being fed milk from another woman.

A 14-year-old pregnant girl was burnt to death by her in-laws in a remote area of central Ghor province, central Afghanistan. This is the latest reported case of violence against women in the country.
