A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed to death at a house party in Peckham, London, days before he was due to go to Nigeria on holiday with his family.

Leoandro Osemeke popularly known as Showkey, a 16-year-old musician was found with knife wounds to his upper body after police were called to a disturbance near a large house party at Colgrove Road on Friday August 5, at 7.19pm. Despite paramedics' efforts to save him, the teen died at the scene.

53 year old Nigerian woman, Halima Adejoke, was killed in a car crash in New Jersey on Saturday August 6th. According to police report, a box truck crashed into the driver's side of the sport utility vehicle she was driving in on Cottontail Lane in New Jersey. A preliminary investigation found the box truck, driven by 27 year old Walter Washington, was heading southbound on Cottontail Lane when it failed to maneuver around a turn, crossed the centerline and slammed into the Toyota.
