Police in Sokoto state this weekend busted a gay marriage between two men in the state. Acting on a tipoff, the police stormed the venue of the wedding. The intending gay couple absconded while the owner of the house where the wedding was to take place was arrested.

A 50 year old woman was stabbed to death at her home at House J68B, Close 9, VGC, Ajah Lagos on Saturday August 20th. Spokesperson of the Lagos state Police command, Dolapo Badmos, who confirmed the incident, said the woman whose identity is being concealed, was stabbed on her stomach in the early hours of the day and was found in the pool of her blood. According to Badmos, the police has launched a full scaled investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding her murder.

A teenage suspected Islamic State child suicide bomber killed at least 50 wedding guests dancing in a street in Turkey on Saturday. President Tayyip Erdogan blamed the massacre on Islamic State and said the killer, who wore an explosive belt, was about 12 to 14 years old.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke in a live nationally-televised address in front of Istanbul city Hall early Sunday morning, saying least 50 people were killed and dozens of others wounded in the attack which took place late Saturday evening in the southeastern city of Gaziantep.
