A 20-year-old woman from Soysambus sub-location in Ndalu Bungoma County, Kenya is currently hospitalized after her mother-in-law allegedly threw acid on her legs and tied her to a pole inside a room for two weeks to rot.
Soysambu sub-location administrator Geoffrey Okumu, who confirmed the incident, said the woman identified as Reginalda, was allegedly attacked by her mother--in-law, Margaret Masai, shortly after giving birth. The suspect, however denied the allegations.

 A man, Tosin Oluwatosin, has been arrested with a human head in Ifaki-Ekiti, Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.Oluwatosin and his brother, David, who is at large, were accused of killing the victim.

The suspect was grilled by homicide detectives at the state police headquarters to explain the circumstances behind the murder of the 12-year-old victim.

Confirming the incident to reporters yesterday, police spokesman Alberto Adeyemi said Oluwatosin was arrested about 3.35 pm.

A painter, Mr. Ese Akpan, had told his family on Tuesday that he was going out to get the money owed him by a construction company.

He, however, did not get to his destination, as he was killed by a stray bullet from a police team escorting a bullion van to a bank.
According to a Closed-Circuit Television camera, which captured the scene, Ese was shot at exactly 1.45pm on Old Aba Road, Rumuomasi, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abba Kyari, have arrested Joseph Omoni, the alleged mastermind of the kidnap of Lagos Isheri North Estate Secretary, Mr Dayo Adekoya.

LIB recalls that gunmen numbering about 20 stormed the estate last Thursday and abducted Dayo Adekoya after killing three security men. He was rescued by the police in the early hours of Monday.

A little schoolgirl was knocked down and crushed to death under a truck's wheel this morning at Nonthaburi province in Thailand.

According to eyewitness report, the woman pictured wailing on the ground was taking her daughter to school on a motorcycle when a truck rammed into them from behind, knocking her off the bike. She escaped with minor injury but her daughter was sadly crushed by the truck. Graphic photos after the cut.

It has taken almost 13 years but former President Olusegun Obansanjo has now apologised to human rights activist, Dr. Joel Odumakin for the man-handling she suffered from security operatives back in May 2004. The duo were special guests at an event in Abeokuta, Ogun State when the apology went down. An excited Joel Odumakin took to Instagram to share the news and wrote:

A total of 162 Nigerians stranded in Libya were returned back home on Tuesday, February 14th. The returnees were received by the National Emergency Management Agency along with the office of the Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Matters.

A chartered flight that brought the returnees arrived the cargo wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport where they were officially received at about 4pm.

The Ikom - Calabar highway is currently completely blocked by tanker drivers protesting the puncture of the tyres of one of their trucks by revenue collectors at Ugep.

Travellers from Ikom, and Abakaliki axis have been advised to take the Idomi road from Ugep town to connect the highway at Adim while those from Calabar are advised to connect Idomi from Adim then to Ugep. Efforts are on-going to resolve the issue. More photos after the cut

This grainy pictures show the woman suspected to have killed the playboy half brother of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-nam. Jong-nam who fell out with their father and left the country had branded his half-brother's regime a 'joke'.

He was at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia on Monday morning waiting for a flight when two North Korean women attacked him from behind with poison spray. He died on his way to hospital.

Hollywood star, Harrison Ford was aboard a small plane that landed on a taxiway of a California airport, flying directly over a waiting American Airlines 737 on Monday.
Confirming the incident, the Federal Aviation Administration, which is yet to identify who was piloting the plane said the actor's Aviat Husky single-engine propellor plane was cleared to land on Runway 20L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

Police officers stormed into football legend, Diego Maradona's hotel room in Madrid on Wednesday morning, after the manager of the hotel- Eurostar Suites Mirasierra, called the police alleging that he assaulted his girlfriend, Rocio Olivia.

Maradona and his girlfriend have been lodging in the hotel for some days now ahead of his former Club, Napoli's match with Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
