Former Military governor of Edo state, Samuel Ogbemudia, has died. Family sources say he died at about 11pm yesterday. He was 84 years old. He was a military Governor of the Mid-West State, later renamed Bendel State, part of which became Edo State. He was in office from 1967 - 1975. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Guatemala government has declared three days of mourning after a fire swept through a home for abused teenagers and children, killing at least 22 girls on Wednesday.

According to a police report, the blaze started when some residents who had been isolated by authorities set mattresses ablaze following an overnight attempt to escape from the overcrowded center.
All those killed at the Virgin of the Assumption Safe Home in San Jose Pinula, were aged between 14 and 17.

On Monday March 6th, Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Diaspora matters, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, released a statement advising Nigerians who do not have any important thing to do in the US not to travel there as she has received reports of some Nigerians being denied entry by some US Immigration officers.

Her advise was later countered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama who at a press briefing in Abuja, said there was no truth in reports that some Nigerians are being denied entry into the US due to the new US immigration policy.

40-year-old Awa is an inspirational woman. A Nigerian refugee in Niger- one of the poorest countries in the world, works as a midwife, and tries to ease the suffering of women and girls in Sayam Forage refugee camp in the Diffa region.

The camp hosts 7,600 Nigerian refugees who fled Boko Haram violence in the past years. Awa’s calling was sealed when she became pregnant herself at 14. Recalling her traumatic experience, she said:

According to TMZ, their sources revealed to them that Rob moved in last week and that Blac Chyna's neighbours are not happy with the development as they referred to them as 'riff-raffs'.

According to a Facebook user, the woman pictured died in a fatal accident Tuesday morning, March 7th, at Ugwu Onyeama, Enugu State. Her body has been deposited at ESUT Teaching Hospital mortuary. No contact address, mobile phone or identity card was found on her. If anyone have any useful information about the victim or her family, kindly contact the hospital. Rudy Francis, a 35yr old Malaysian ecologist escaped death by the whiskers after he was attacked by a huge 18ft crocodile during a routine feeding session at a crocodile farm in Sandakan, East Malaysia on February 20. Colleagues had to pull him from the jaws of death during the attack in which he lost his right arm and leg.

In what can be described as nothing less than a lucky escape or a miracle, a 41yr old construction worker in China survived, after a 5ft steel rod got lodged in his head while he was at work. Doctors managed to remove the rod and saved the man known as Wang Long after a four-hour-long surgical operation. The accident occurred in Chongqing on February 27 when the worker tried to loosen up a concrete slab while at work.

Eze Ndigbo in China, His Royal Highness, Igwe Henry Chibueze Onwughalu has passed away. According to reports, Igwe Henry suffered a stroke and had been in a coma few days before his death in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8th. The businessman and philanthropist hailed from Adazi Ani in Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was building a house before he died. May his soul rest in peace. Police at Achimota in Ghana have arrested 43 drug peddlers who are suspected to be perpetrating robbery activities in the area. The suspects, 40 of whom are men and 3 women,  were caught during a raid on Saturday in the ghettos and slums located in the community.
According to Ghana Web report, some of them were caught in the act smoking substances suspected to be marijuana, while others were in possession of the material.

Four people have escaped death after an over speeding vehicle lost control and smashed into a shop at College Road, Aruna B\Stop in Lagos. The vehicle which was coming from Yaya-Abatan lost control at the corner ramming into a shop beside APC Ifako Ijaye office, injuring a shoe maker and a passerby. Fortunately the woman in the shop did not sustain any injury with her baby.
The incident occurred around 11am on Wednesday, involving Honda Accord motor with registration number SMK-971EJ. The driver did not sustain any injury too. The shoe maker was badly injured while the passerby suffered one leg dislocation.

Meghan Markle has joined her boyfriend, Prince Harry, in Jamaica for the wedding of Harry's best Friend, Tom "Skipp" Inskip.

Prince Harry was seen on Wednesday flying out of Gatwick Airport to arrive Jamaica for the union of Skipp and his fiancee, Lara Hughes-Young, which will hold on Friday in Montego Bay, St.James. Meghan Markle flew out of Toronto to join him a day later.

Three suicide bombers lost their lives today along Damboa Road, Maiduguri. According to the Borno state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Damian Chuckwu, two female bombers and a male bomber attacked petroleum tankers parked near a filling station along Damboa road. Two of them detonated while the third was gunned down by a soldier.
