National Youth Service Corps member, Toritseju Lodge, who was shot dead last Monday, in Oghara, has been laid to rest.
Late Lodge, until his tragic death was serving in Imo State but returned to Oghara,  Delta State for the last Easter celebration. He was reportedly with friends when masked gunmen arrived and shot him dead.

A fatal accident that occurred over the weekend on the Ikot-Ekpene-Aba Expressway in Aba, Abia state, led to the death of many and several others injured. The accident, which involved a truck, a couple of tricycles, a commercial bus and a private owned car, was reportedly caused by the truck.
According to witnesses, the truck, heavily loaded with chippings, was speeding as it descended the Ogbor Hill Bridge, when it lost control and crashed into several vehicles and pedestrians. The bus and tricycles popularly called Keke Napep were loading passengers when the truck hit them, sending them through the rail of the bridge, and into the water below. 

A suspected human parts dealer has been arrested in Ilorin after a foul smell coming from his car caused residents to suspect something was amiss and a search of the vehicle confirmed their suspicion.
The middle-aged man was exposed after his Toyota car broke down in Adewole area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, yesterday afternoon. When he parked to look at his car engine, passers-by perceived an offensive odour and raised the alarm, causing a crowd to gather. On searching the car, one human leg, two arms and a skull were found in a black nylon bag in the trunk of his car.

 
This morning, crisis broke out in Idi Oro, Mushin as rival youth gangs engaged themselves in a fight burning shops and looting stalls. Angry youths were reported to have invaded Alamutu Street, Idi Oro, from Akala Elegba looting shops and setting them ablaze early this morning.
The Rapid Response Squad has since moved into the area to restore peace.

The newly deployed mobile CCTV camera procured by the Lagos State Government for the operatives of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad has recorded its first surveillance arrest. The suspect was arrested in Oshodi while the Mobile CCTV was being deployed at Oshodi to monitor the area.

The suspect Emmanuel Alowonle, 18-year old, a native of Ondo State, disclosed during interrogation that he came to Lagos about two years ago and work as a bus conductor in the area.
