A couple, Mr and Mrs Adibe have been arrested after they were caught in possession of a phone belonging to late Mrs. Amaka Okere who was kidnapped and murdered in  Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State
According to the man, Emeka Adibe, the phone was given to him by is wife, Monica. 
 
The couple were paraded alongside other suspects arrested for committing various crimes at the Imo State Police Command in Owerri, yesterday.

A Chinese woman, Ms Alimihan Seyiti, from China's western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, is believed to be the world's oldest person after celebrating her 131st birthday on June 25. Her ID card shows she was born on June 25, 1886 and she spent her birthday at home with her 56 descendants. Her health is said to be in good condition, with her blood pressure, lipids and sugar all at normal levels. Another photo after the cut.

Notorious cult group, Badoo, have struck again in Ikorodu, this time killing a family of five. According to reports, the attack happened at Ayelala, Olopomeji, back of MRS filling station (formerly Kadesh filling station) close to the Army Barracks, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, yesterday June 27th.

Members of the murdered family are from Igede, Benue State but they reside in Odogunyan, Ikorodu.

A suspected car thief on Monday ran into a police station and surrendered himself after he was attacked by a spiritual swarm of bees in Kenya.
According to Nairobi News, Mr. Francis Sikadigu, a middle-aged Ugandan, had allegedly drugged the car owner before driving off to an unknown destination.
It was learned that after he had stolen the vehicle on Friday, a witchdoctor who was consulted performed a ritual to punish and make him return the car.

A suspected thief, who allegedly tried to steal a Keyboard from a church in Bayelsa was stripped down to his underwear by residents of the community and paraded. The man was made to carry the Keyboard on his head and walk around the town of Agudama Epie in Bayelsa in his naked state while a mob surrounded him.
Ayas Michael who shared photos of the man on Facebook commended the president of the community and the entire youth for parading the suspected criminal. He said the members of the community can now sleep without fear.

A female police officer, Joy Okoshi (pictured), allegedly poured hot water on her 15-year-old 
househelp identified as Chinyere Igwe in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
It was gathered that the victim was preparing soup when Okoshi complained that she did not follow her instruction. In anger, she poured the hot pot of soup on her and later followed it with a bowl of hot water.

Some men of the Nigerian Police Force have been accused of killing Benjamin Wankaa, an event MC and a 300 level Mineral Resources student of Kaduna Polytechnic.
According to reports, on Sunday, June 25th, Wankaa popularly known as MC Cedar, and four other occupants including his sister, cousin and friend were stopped by a team of policemen on their way home from a night party, which he anchored.

A 64 year old father of seven, Linus Ogehee, was hacked to death by suspected herdsmen at a settlement in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday June 25th.

According to Sahara Reporters, the deceased was killed on his farm which he had been cultivating on for over 20 years. Narrating what happened, his wife, Roseline Ogehee, said

Security agencies in Bayelsa State have started an investigation into the identity of a man named Suoyo whom Evans the Kidnapper mentioned as one of his gang members in the state.
In one of his numerous confessional statements, Evans the kidnapper said Suoyo is one of the most active members of his gang, who had the job of buying arms and ammunition, for their operations.

A Nigerian man sparked outrage after he shared a photo of two young boys looking extremely scared with a tire placed around their necks.
Hon Sunday Aboh, a Nigerian politician, alleged that the boys were caught trying to break into his house through the window while he was away at church.
He concluded by saying he was going to send the minors “to the other side of the world now” and this did not go down well with a lot of Nigerians who felt the boys were too young to be given the capital punishment.

A Nigerian mother resident in Port Harcourt has put out a cry for help asking Nigerians to help her find her son and daughter who she said were abducted by policemen. Jane Tubotamuno Kayode said she had been taking 10-year-old Asiwaju Kayode and 8-year-old Emijuwon to school when some police vehicle cornered her and one of the men threatened her then drove the car to the SCID Rivers State Police Command and from there, they took her children away.

A 43-year-old Nigerian nursing assistant, Hakim Ogunkunle is facing multiple charges in connection with the death of a 98-year-old patient that triggered a probe by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, US.
The GBI claims that Ogunkunle, a Certified Nursing Assistant Ogunkunle was responsible for causing injuries that led to the death of Edna Warren, a patient at Newnan Health and Rehab in May, 2017. It has charged him with aggravated battery, exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person.
