When Brian Stewart sent his estranged wife to the hospital canteen for a
coffee, he had more in mind than just a paternal moment with his
11-month-old son Brian Jr. For as soon as the baby’s mom was out of
sight, Stewart took out a vial of HIV-tainted blood and pumped it into
his son’s veins.

Father of two steals 12 wraps of fufu and pot of soup in Bayelsa State
A 35 year old father of two was nabbed for allegedly stealing 12 wraps
of fufu and a pot of soup from a restaurant in Igbogene, Bayelsa State.
According to Guardian newspaper, the Igbogene vigilante group said they
apprehended Kaduna Eradiri at about 2am on Thursday while sneaking into
the restaurant to steal the food.

Esther Ruby Daniel, a 17 year old Nigerian has broken the sports record
in Amity University, Haryana, India where she is a 200 level student.
Esther who is from Akwa Ibom state in her first month in the school won a
silver medal during All Indian Law Student University Games

Boko Haram kills 5 soldiers, 4 vigilantes in Borno
Troops carrying out clearance operations on suspected Boko Haram
terrorists hideouts in Talala and Ajigin, southern part of Borno State,
were ambushed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Ugundiri village,
Damboa Local Government Area, Borno State, while returning to base after
clearance operations yesterday.
Unfortunately, 5 soldiers, 3 vigilantes and 1
Civilian JTF lost their lives during the ambush, while 19 soldiers and 1
Civilian JTF sustained various degrees of injuries.
The bodies of the late soldiers and civilians have been evacuated to
Maiduguri while the injured are receiving commensurate medical care and
are in stable condition.

diagnosed with lung cancer was forced to make the heartbreaking decision

352 migrants from Nigeria, Togo, Syria, Niger rescued in the Mediterranean Sea
In a rescue operation coordinated by the Italian Red Cross and the
Migrant Offshore and Station (MOAS) 352 people were rescued yesterday,
October 25th.
Those rescued include migrants from Nigeria, Syria, Togo, Niger and Pakistan, among them 34 women and 3 children. They were transferred safely, and are now being cared for as they head back north to Sicily for disembarkation.
