The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on June 17, secured the conviction of Mr. Jalekun Omitawoju Yisau and nine other defendants in a case of alleged conspiracy, misappropriation and diversion of funds to the tune of N115 million.


Others convicted are Afribiz Viables Ventures, Allied Aque-Forte Ventures, Manifield Mercies Ventures, Agbeloba Agrotech Ventures Ltd, Torosbury International Agency Ltd, Cradle Engineering Services Ltd, Momm Limited, Al-Tora Allied Business, Arieco Trading Ventures. Their sentence followed their change of plea from “guilty” to “guilty’.

Over 22 people have died and 197,000 people evacuated after a week of continuous heavy downpour in Southern China. A Nashville, Tennessee woman was arrested on Wednesday June 15th for the illegal use of her mouth to rob an unsuspecting victim. Police say 25 year old Jonisia Morrisis distracted a man by giving him oral sex then robbed him while his pants were literally around his ankles. 27-year-old Christopher Erunse who tried to flee to Amsterdam after shooting dead a childhood friend in broad-daylight has been jailed for 18 years on Wednesday, June 15. 

Christopher Erunse, 28, was last year October charged with the murder of Moses Fadairo.

Police arrested a 51-year-old man, Lee Kaplan at his home in Feasterville, Pennsylvania for child sex assault charges after they found 12 girls living in his home. Including a six-month-old he fathered with a 14 -year-old and a three-year-old child with the oldest girl, who is 18 years old.
Police visited the home on June 16 after receiving a complaint about the health and safety of numerous children in the home.
