A Nigerian man sparked outrage after he shared a photo of two young boys looking extremely scared with a tire placed around their necks.
Hon Sunday Aboh, a Nigerian politician, alleged that the boys were caught trying to break into his house through the window while he was away at church.
He concluded by saying he was going to send the minors “to the other side of the world now” and this did not go down well with a lot of Nigerians who felt the boys were too young to be given the capital punishment.

A Nigerian mother resident in Port Harcourt has put out a cry for help asking Nigerians to help her find her son and daughter who she said were abducted by policemen. Jane Tubotamuno Kayode said she had been taking 10-year-old Asiwaju Kayode and 8-year-old Emijuwon to school when some police vehicle cornered her and one of the men threatened her then drove the car to the SCID Rivers State Police Command and from there, they took her children away.

A 43-year-old Nigerian nursing assistant, Hakim Ogunkunle is facing multiple charges in connection with the death of a 98-year-old patient that triggered a probe by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, US.
The GBI claims that Ogunkunle, a Certified Nursing Assistant Ogunkunle was responsible for causing injuries that led to the death of Edna Warren, a patient at Newnan Health and Rehab in May, 2017. It has charged him with aggravated battery, exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person.

A man was caught today in Owerri, Imo State, spraying the cucumbers he was selling with liquid in a bottle believed to be his urine.
According to Ifeanyi Njoku, he was forced by the mob to drink the urine and also eat the cucumbers.

The Queen of England was on Wednesday reported to West Yorkshire Police for not wearing a seatbelt as she travelled to the State Opening of Parliament.
According to the Authorities, they received a 999 call from someone saying the Queen was not wearing a seat belt as she travelled with Prince Charles through London from Buckingham Palace to Westminster.

A pregnant mother and her two sons were killed early on Wednesday morning after six recently constructed pillars collapsed into her home. 30-year-old Hajiya Binta had been with 3-year-old Muhammadu Auwal and 1-year-old Musa at her home in Layin Farin Ruwa, Rikkos community of Jos North Local Government Area when the sad incident occurred.

The police in Lagos have arrested 33 year old single mother of four, Aishat Akintunde pictured above, for allegedly defrauding her Facebook lover of money and properties valued at about N5 million. According to PM news, Aishat, a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State, met her France-based victim, Ayobami Adeniyi online in 2016 and promised to marry him.

Three young siblings, bride-to-be Husna Begum, 22, and her brothers; Hanif, 26, and Hamid, 29, chose to stay and die with their parents in the Grenfell Tower fire in London, rather than leave them to die alone on the 17th floor as smoke and flames engulfed the building.

In an emotional conversation hours after the fire started, they all spoke to their relatives on the phone and explained their decision to stay.


The young girl identified as Oghlae, 12, was allegedly abandoned at a motor park in Ughelli, Delta State. It was gathered that she came with her mother to visit someone in Owhologbo in Isoko and on their way back to Koko, where they live, the woman abandoned her at Otovwodo motor park and fled. The girl has been taken to Ughelli Police station.

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, this morning sacked the commissioner for Works in the state, Bathuel Harrison (pictured in jacket).

In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, Wike said the sack is with immediate effect. He ordered Harrison to hand over to the permanent secretary in the ministry. No reason was given for the termination of the commissioner's appointment.

At least 29 persons have died and more than 60 injured in a suicide car bombing  targeted at Afghan soldiers lining up outside a bank in southern Helmand province, Afghanistan.

According to the governor of Helmand province, Hayatullah Hayat, most of the people killed in the explosion were civilians who likely had gathered there to collect salaries ahead of the upcoming holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

A Detroit mother accused of killing two of her children appeared in court on Monday where she pleaded guilty then went ahead to say that she is not sorry for her actions.

Mitchelle Blair, 36, pleaded guilty to killing her 13-year-old daughter Stoni Blair and nine-year-old son Stephen Berry in Wayne County Court in Michigan. 
The bodies of the children were discovered in March, in a deep freezer at Blair's home as she was being served an eviction notice by court officers. Blair said she killed them because they sexually abused their younger brother who is now 8-years-old.

 
A member of a notorious phone and bag snatching gang was apprehended at the Ime-Obi area in Agbor, Delta state on Saturday night, June 17.
The 22-year-old suspect, Chijioke Kanu and his gang members attacked a young girl, snatched her bag and tried to flee on their motorcycle. However, luck ran out on him when a member of Agbor Gha Ihun security group, who coincidentally was at the spot of the incident, heard the shout of the victim and gave the bag snatchers a chase with his car.
