The National Youth Service Corps NYSC has provided the sum of Three Million Five Hundred Thousand naira to a Corps member, Ogunpaimo Kehinde, to enable her undergo a heart surgery. Kehinde, who is serving in Lagos State, and has been living on strong survival drugs for some time now, is due for surgery soon.

A British man’s heart stopped after he accidentally swallowed a 6-inch long Dover sole on a fishing trip in Boscombe, in southern England.

The man, 28, who was not named, went into cardiac arrest on Oct. 5 after the fish leapt into his mouth, completely blocking his throat. However, paramedics were able to clear his airway after drawing the sole free with a forceps. They saved his life.

Actress Gabrielle Union dragged BET to court following claims the network was trying to fraudulently extend her contract for 'Being Mary Jane.'According to Gabrielle, her contract stated that she shoots 13 episodes of Being Mary Jane per season at $150k an episode, but was was shocked when she was informed she would have to shoot 10-episode seasons back-to-back in order to "cram all of the episodes into a single season," negating her $150k per episode season 5 pay raise.
