Sick Killer Calls 911 Then Chuckles When Asked If His Victim Is Still Breathing

A Flordia man shot his girlfriend in the head then called 911 to report the fatal shooting. Cops say that he showed no remorse during the call and laughed when asked if she were still breathing.
Teddy Vanders, 52, called 911 just before 4 a.m., admitting he shot and killed his girlfriend. Court documents state that during the call,
Vanders "chuckled" when asked if the victim was still breathing. When cops arrived the home where he's lived with his girlfriend of 10 years, Vanders told them he had gotten into an argument with her. He admitted to killing her and also admitted he had been drinking.
A loaded gun was found in the residence, according to the arrest report. The girlfriend was found dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound to the head. On the way to the station for questioning, Police say the killer told them he had been abused by his girlfriend and that "jail time would be worth it" to get away from her. He said he knew he would go to jail for his action but that he hoped the judge in his case "understood him."
