Blu Ivy hair

A woman who started a petition on Change.org to get celebrity couple, Beyonce and Jay Z to comb their daughter’s hair seems to have gotten her wish.
Jasmine Toliver started the petition, which got 3000 signatures, criticizing the apparent lack of care for Blue Ivy’s locks.
Bey and Jay seem to have succumbed as for the first time ever, their daughter is seen with her hair combed out and neatly packed into a cute bun.

She looks much better, doesn’t she?

Lagos state University students have rejected Governor Fashola's proposed 34% and 60% across the different faculties and courses reduction in school fees.
At a press conference held yesterday June 12th in Ogba, the President of LASU Student Union Government, Nurudeen Yusuf, said the state government should spell out the proposed new fees in Naira and Kobo rather than this percentage as their parents who are responsible for the payments do not know how to calculate in percentage.
"We do not accept the 34 to 60% reduction of the government because in 2011 when the fees were increased, it was not done on percentage level; rather, they made the pronouncement in Naira and Kobo. We urge the government to come out in words as to how much will be paid by our students in Naira and Kobo and not in percentage. How do they expect our parents, the market women scrambling to pay our fees, to calculate the percentage? The government is only trying to play games with our future. We question their sincerity on this matter because the pronouncement of the fee was as a result of a visitation panel set up by the government of which the report was selectively adopted" Yusuf said

On behalf of the family….It is with a great sadness but grateful hearts that we announce the passing to glory due to lungs failure this morning of our God’s mouth piece, chorus leader, daughter, wife, sister, friend Kefee Branama Queen … May her beautiful, gentle and precious soul rest in perfect peace. For the family
Adeline Adelicious Adebayo, (Kefee’s UK Manager)

There have been rumours both online and on entertainment magazines that Nollywood icon and Delta State Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo, has health issues probably because of his recent weight loss. I saw him a while back and he looked more handsome than ever!

Anyway, RMD has reacted to the rumours, saying he's better than ever.

"What else do you need? You saw me on stage, did I look sick? People are probably so disappointed to see me looking so much better they want the news to be true. Unfortunately for them, I am in the best shape of my life.
"Have you not taken photos of me. It amazes me how people cling to bad news. I am a public servant in Delta State, I go to work every day. I am not sick. I changed my lifestyle and lost weight and I am looking better than I have ever looked in my adult life. For the records, I am not on Facebook and my colleagues that they used their names as those who posted the stories have all denied it.”RMD told Weekend Groove
Left is RMD at Amaka Igwe's Tribute night on Monday and right is RMD at the Delta Entertainment Awards in Asaba two days ago where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Been holding on to the news because I wanted to be 100% sure it's true...unfortunately it is. Our Branama queen is gone. Kefee Obareki Don Momoh passed away this morning at the US hospital where she was taken to after she collapsed and went into coma. She never came out of the coma. Her international manager has confirmed her passing and Kefee's husband also confirmed to a Star FM staff, where he works. What a sad day. May her soul rest in peace..Amen.

This is just too sad! She was just in her mid 30s...looking forward to a great future...recently released a song...working on an album, spent 8 months in the US to pursue courses in video production and directing so she could pursue her dreams...and all for nothing. Too sad!

The body late Prof. Dora Akunyili was this evening received by members of her family as well as the former Governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja

Her body, accompained by her husband Dr Chike Akunyili and younger brother Dr. Anayo Edemobi , was flown into Nigeria in a private jet and conveyed to a mortuary in Abuja in an Ambulance.

Speaking with newsmen, Peter Obi said burial plans for the late professor will begin immediately.

Family sources have told SaharaReporters that Dora Akunyili, a former professor of pharmacy, former director general of the National Agency for Foods and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and one-time Minister of Information, died of complications arising from uterine cancer.

One relative told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Akunyili was completely healthy until she lost the Anambra senatorial election in 2011 to Senator Chris Ngige.

The source stated that, at the end of the legal tussle over the election, the former minister visited the U.S. in 2013 to undergo what she thought would be a routine medical checkup. “Her doctor in America did a hysterectomy and found out that she had a malignant endometrial cancer,” said this source. He added that it was the tumor that eventually took her life last week in a hospital in the Indian city of Bangalore after she had struggled with the disease for two years.

Another family source stated that Mrs. Akunyili had received the best treatment after undergoing surgery to remove the tumor, but disclosed that the cancer was of such malignant state that it resisted therapy.
