A Tamil Nadu woman, who had resisted a Madras High Court suggestion to marry the man she accused of raping her when she was a minor, was forced to marry him. (pictured with her daughter)..
On December 29, 2015, tired of the court battles, the 22-year-old woman returned to him with her daughter born out of the rape after his conviction was set aside by another High Court judge and her case sent back to the lower court. She told the Cuddalore Mahila Court that she had married the accused after a settlement and they were now living together. The case was therefore closed and the man acquitted by the court.

A French slackliner, jumper and wingsuiter named Tancrede Melet, accidentally fell more than 100ft to his death while getting ready to perform with a hot air balloon on Tuesday January 5th. According to his colleagues, the tragic event which happened in Drome, France occurred while he was tightrope walking between two hot air balloons. He fell while being suspended at the basket at arm's length.

Tracey Thompson from North Texas has given birth to her own granddaughter after serving as a surrogate for her daughter, Kelley McKissack, 28.

The 54-year-old delivered a 6-pound 11-ounce girl at The Medical Center of Plano. Doctors at the hospital say McKissack and her husband, Aaron McKissack, had undergone multiple infertility treatments only to suffer three miscarriages.

Leandro Trejo, 28, has been accused of stabbing his 18-year-old ex girlfriend Nicole Kleer severally after she called time on their relationship. According to reports, he confronted her as she was walking home with a friend in the San Fernando area of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He allegedly rode up to her on his motorbike and blocked her path before bringing out a knife and stabbing her in the neck, arms, head,face and ear. According to reports, the commercial bus the Corp members were traveling in, was attacked by robbers dressed as Police officers at a spot on the Kaduna-Abuja highway last week Sunday January 3rd.‎ The robbers after the attack stole their jewelry and other items.

Louise Watt, picked up the phallic meat on one of her regular visits to Sainsbury's in Northampton, Northamptonshire, on Sunday. It was only when she returned home to prepare the meal with her husband, Jack, that she noticed how the pork loin looked. So they took pictures of it.

A video captured the moment a man ran through St Peter's Basilica naked in front of horrified churchgoers. Wearing nothing but a backpack, the naked man ran through the congregation shouting and waving his arms as members of security attempt to grab hold of his backpack.
The man in the footage was identified as Luis Carlos Giampoli, a 44-year-old nurse from Brazil.

In the footage, he waves his arms in the air and reportedly shouts "Dear brothers and sisters, I'm from Brazil!"

I put mad there because you can't be normal and do this. Lol. A Chinese woman caught a rat in her home eating bananas and tied it's hands and legs to a bottle filled with water. She started interrogating the rat with questions like ‘Are the bananas tasty?’,‘Do you have any accomplices?’ while whipping the rat's nose with some sort of object. The reception on Chinese social media was mixed. Many thought it was incredibly cruel while others found it funny. See photos after the jump.

US presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has threatened to remove his investments in the UK if the British don't want him there following a petition signed last month by over 600k people asking the UK government to ban him from entering the country over comments he made about Muslims, now described as a hate speech. Because of the number of signatures, the petition will officially be debated in the House of Commons on Jan. 18th.
