A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) who was wounded during a clearance operation in Boko Haram stronghold, Sambisa Forest last January has passed away.

CJTF secretary Muazu Alhaji Misiya, who announced the sad news this morning, said the deceased identified as Modu Churi had been receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Borno State. May his soul rest in peace, amen. More photos after the cut.

A 61-year-old leader of a kidnap gang in Port-harcourt, Rivers State, Jonkin Chibuzor Nkwuozor, was arrested and taken to court on Friday for allegedly killing a personnel of the Department of State Services, DSS, Uzoma, after kidnapping his wife, two children and his sister-in-law on November 16 along Ngor-Okpala/Etche Road in Rivers State.

A French-Canadian university student known for far-right nationalist views was charged with six counts of murder over the shooting rampage at a Quebec City mosque on Sunday.

An Hausa noodles seller identified as Adamu allegedly killed a commercial bus driver, Olalekan Adeleke following a disagreement over N30, in Igando area of Lagos, last Sunday night.

The CP reportedly died today in a hospital in either India or Dubai where he went for treatment for kidney failure according to police sources.

The commissioner of police was transferred to Rivers state in August 2016 to take over from Foluso Adebanjo who is currently a Deputy Inspector General of Police. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a 31-year-old Nigerian national Mohammed Hassani(31) and his Hyderabadi associate, Mohsin Agha (29) for swindling a 60-year-old Australian citizen, Gregory David Sim out of $95,000 with the help of a Nigerian woman.

The Nigerian woman, who developed friendship through a dating site with Gregory David Sim and two other Nigerians involved in the case were still at large.

Melyssa Delgado Braga from Sao Paulo was diagnosed with myxoma, a very rare and aggressive tumour which weighed 5 pounds. This condition was making breathing difficult for the little girl and also was pushing her tongue to the back of her throat.
