At least 8 Nigerian soldiers have been reportedly killed following attacks by Boko Haram terrorists on two locations in Borno State, ChannelsTV reports.
One of the soldiers has been identified as Mohammed Abdullahi Kamal, who got married last February in Gombe State.
However, the Army Spokesman, Brigadier General Sanni Usman in a telephone interview with Channels, denied the incident, saying it’s not true.

On Thursday, angry youths in Ikpayongo, mounted a road block along Makurdi/Otukpo road in protest over the killing of their people by suspected herdsmen.

It was gathered that at least ten persons were killed and several others injured in a renewed hostility between Fulani herdsmen and Tiv youths at Tse Igba Uke village near Ikpayongo, a suburb of Makurdi, and the Benue State capital.
Also vehicles were damaged, while property worth several millions were also destroyed.


Irene Kananu, a HR officer was strangled to death by her 25-year-old college student lover, Abdulkarim Njoroge in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu, Kenya on March 31.

Njoroge was arrested on Tuesday, April 11, in Mtwapa, Mombasa, after a two-week search. According to media reports, Kananu’s sister noticed that her phone was off for a few days and she reported the matter to Kimbo police station on April 3.

The US Army Military District of Washington confirms that a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed on a golf course in Leonardtown, Maryland, during a routine training exercise on Easter Monday killing one crew member and injuring two others.
The aircraft carrying three crew members that crashed at Breton Bay Golf Course was from the 12th Aviation Battalion, stationed at Davison Airfield at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. One of the crew member remains in serious condition and another is in critical condition.

Two persons have been reported dead, and 14 others injured in an fatal accident that occurred in the Anthony area of Lagos Monday afternoon. A statement by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says the agency received a distress call at 3:05 pm, and deployed its Emergency Response Team (ERT) to the scene.

A multiple accident that occurred at the Ezzamgbo axis of the ever-busy Abakaliki-Enugu yesterday evening, claimed the lives of a pregnant woman and a man believed to be a professor at the Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State.

Kumar, a resident of Jogupalya in Halasuru, India, has been arrested, along with four suspected assassins, for the gruesome murder of her moneylender husband, G Kumar.


The Lagos State police command have arrested and charged an ex-convict for allegedly stealing a Huawei G73 phone valued at N70,000 inside a church.
The suspect, Williams Okonoboh Eromosele who claimed to be a graduate of accountancy from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, stole the phone from one Mrs. Ehindinibu Omowunmi at the Church of Resurrection Anglican located at 1004 estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.


Baburam, 42, has died after getting bitten by a snake. Baburam wanted to take a photo with the reptile and the snake charmer, Indraram Suthar, 34, tried to get the snake to stay on the man's neck when the snake's head went too close to Baburam's temple.

The snake charmer removed the snake from him then and kept on trying to work on the snake, probably to subdue it while Baburam waited. After a while, Baburam touched his temple again and again but he and the others did not seem alarmed.
