The Malawi Police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), Lilongwe, on Monday afternoon May 8 arrested a 43-year old Nigerian national for attempting to externalise US$7,000 (MK5 million), which was hidden in his hand luggage.
KIA Spokesperson Sapulain Chitonde, identified the suspect as Egemonye Christian Chinedu, from Nnewi and holder of a Nigerian Passport number A05010761.

 
The Health Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo together with the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Friday that one person who died recently of a hemorrhagic fever has tested positive for the Ebola virus, indicating a fresh new outbreak of the killer disease. 
According to the Ministry, the case was confirmed after tests were conducted on nine people who came down with a hemorrhagic fever in Bas-Uele province in the north of the country on or after April 22, adding that three people have died of fever.

 
The body of a man who was declared missing was found Friday at Abeke Road beside former Texaco Filling Station in Sapele, Delta State. The elder brother and younger sister, who have identified him said that he left home Thursday, May 11 and they had been searching for him. until they discovered his body. A member of the National Youth Service Coprs NYSC, Onwuegbuzie Stanley-Samuel, who was serving in Cross Rivers state, has died of Lassa fever disease at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) Thursday May 12th.
