Members of Okposi community of Ebonyi state gathered this morning to place curses on those connected with the death of two Federal Government College students whose bodies were found on Sunday May 22nd after they were kidnapped on May 12th.(read here) The community leaders say no student of the school since its inception in1965 had died in mysterious circumstances.

Two pupils, Tochukwu Ene and Chukwuemeka Ugwu, who were Junior Secondary School JSS III students of the Federal Government College, Okposi, in Ohaozara council Area of Ebonyi State were kidnapped on Thursday, May 12th, 2016 on the day they finished their Junior NECO exams. The boys were kidnapped as they left their school by unknown people who never asked for any ransom for their release.

The Ebonyi Police Command has confirmed the retrieval of the corpse of a Second Republic Senator, Dr Offia Nwali, from a pond behind his house.
ASP George Okafor, the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), made the confirmation to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abakaliki on Tuesday.
He said Nwali’s corpse was found in a pond at the back of his building in his hometown of Ameka, Ezza South Local Government Area, at the weekend.

 
The 28-year-old Ibadan-based female lawyer, Yewande Oyediran who is being accused of killing her husband, Lowo Oyediran, in Ibadan, on Tuesday insisted she had no hands in her husband’s death.

A married man has been brutally murdered by the lover of the lady he was cheating with after he left his home in Mamfe to go and visit his mistress in Bamenda, Yaounde, Cameroon on Tuesday May 24.

When he got to Bamenda at Mile 2, he was confronted by his mistress’ boyfriend and a fight broke up. He was brutally murdered by his mistress’ boyfriend. It is not clear if the culprit has been apprehended.

A two-year-old boy, Musa Murtala, is currently battling to live at the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano.

The victim, who had been admitted since Friday, was allegedly tortured by his grandmother, Hafsatu, and stepmother, Zainab, at their home in Gulu town in the Rimin Gado Local Government Area of the state.
