A Woman has been arrested for masturbating as she watched Fifty Shades of Grey in a cinema.
The actions of the woman, 33, upset fellow moviegoers as they watched Sam Taylor-Johnson’s film adaptation of E L James’s bestseller in the city of Sinaloa in north-western Mexico, La Verdad reported.
The aroused woman was sitting in the 12th row of the cinema and her actions
were reported to management, who called in police. The woman was arrested and handcuffed before being led out of the venue.
Actress Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele in the movie, admitted she took a prop from the film set home with her.
The heavily promoted
Fifty Shades of Grey movie has taken $411 million globally since its
premiere, with more than $8 million spent in Australia, where the film
in its first week was the most watched.
In the US, the drama
earned $23.2 million at in its second weekend at the top of the box
office, according to studio estimates on Sunday.
Despite that, Fifty Shades of Grey plummeted a steep 75 per cent from its record-breaking $93 million debut last weekend.
“There was a pent-up
demand and excitement for Fifty Shades of Grey last weekend, so this was
its destiny after it broke the box-office record for the biggest
opening in February and didn’t have the added bonus of a holiday
weekend,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for box office
