A staff of the National Assembly, Suleiman Bello was  stabbed to death by an unknown motorcyclists popularly known as Okoda riders at Kubwa, Abuja yesterday April 28th. According to eyewitnesses, Bello who was driving a Toyota Camry got into a heated argument with a motorcyclist at Bhyanzin Junction after he rammed his car into a parked van while trying to dodge the motorcyclist who was driving on a wrong lane.

Hairdresser Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, is accused of murdering his 43-year-old partner and her two sons Zachary, eight, and four-year-old Amon in December last year. He then fled to Ghana before their bodies were discovered buried in the garden of the family home in Erith, Kent. 

A tanker filled with Premium Motor Spirit caught fire some hours ago in Ire, Osun State. According to an eyewitness, a fuel tanker which contained 33,000 liters of petrol caught fire in the process of transferring the fuel from the tanker into the underground tank at a filling station – Amolek Nigeria Limited at Poly Junction. The tanker driver who noticed the fire first, alerted people and ran from the tanker. The fire reportedly raged on for hours and burnt ten nearby shops. Thankfully, no life was lost.

In a new statement released, the Nigerian Police have clarified their position on a statement released days ago which implied that IGP Arase had ordered Zonal Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, Commissioners of Police & other officers to arrest anybody found selling petroleum products in plastic containers. Apparently, the directive was to arrest those involved in hoarding and diversion of fuel. The statement reads,

The Nigerian Navy has declared a man named Mr. Charles Ekpemefumor (pictured) - Wanted for the hijack of a Vessel named MT Maximus. In a statement released on their official website, Ekpemefumor was accused of being the mastermind of the pirate attack and hijacking of the vessel. After several unsuccessful attempts to invite him over for questioning on the allegations made, the Nigerian Navy officially declared him wanted. The statement reads,

A 16-year-old suspected cultist, Rilwan Okegbenro has been arrested by the police for killing a man, Olawale Adebayo, who resided in Imosun in the Ikorodu area of the state.
